Hello all.....I have a new to me 2007 358 Vista. Have some questions for some of the other owners on here.
It is Volvo 5.7gxi with inboards. What is the typical cruise speed and rpm? Mine seems to be "off" from what
the brochure says. Also, the boat seems to ride better with the tabs down quite a bit. I don't know if maybe I'm
compensating for a level ride as compared to my i/o boats? If that makes sense. Any input is appreciated.
Thanks!!

I have 2008 V358 with same set up. I have to get up to about 3500 rpm to get on plane. Usually cruise around 3500-3800 rpm speed varies depending on conditions and load. Usually around 25-29 mph. I put my tabs all the way in before accelerating then once on plane I bring them up slightly until I reach optimum ride performance. I boat mostly in Barnegat bay and ocean up to 2 miles off shore. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply. I do the same to get on plane and that's no problem. I run about 24/25 at 3800.
I have to be at about 4200 to see 29 which seems high to me. That's why I was hoping for some
feedback from other owners. Not sure if its the props or maybe tachometer is off? Everything I
have read should cruise 29 at 3800 which seems to be where you are at. Thanks again.

Anyone ever replace the wiper motor on starboard side of 2008 V358. The access panel is inside the head in the ceiling. Problem is it appears that when the boat was assembled the wiper motor was installed before the ceiling panel in the head was installed. There is not enough room to drop the motor down far enough to get the shaft out of the hole that goes through the top deck. Tried rotating the motor and every possible angle. Just not enough room to get it to clear out of the through deck hole. Really bad design flaw, I spoke with Fourwins today and they confirm that the motor would have been installed before the ceiling panel of the head was put in. Fourwins had no useful suggestion on how to remove the motor. In fact one service guy said to just twist and pull harder on it. I suggested using a rotozip tool to open up the thru deck hole just enough to clear the shaft out and then use a large washer with some sealant under it then place the rubber washer and metal cap and finally nut. Problem I anticipate now is being able to maneuver the motor in an orientation that will allow me to get it out thru the access hole in the head ceiling. Will be taking some measurements tomorrow before I remove or cut anything.

I have a v358 from 2009 with same engines. With 75% gas and full water tank I run 32mph at 3750rpm. At 5000rpm 42 mph.
Between 10/12mph and 25/27mph I "drag" through the water. Good thing is, my wife and I like to go "put put" or on plane
