rpengr - yesterday i used the super 77 3M that i had int he shop for the upper side panels and it was much cleaner to use, faster application by 75% time and easily adjusted. I emptied the can and ran out on the last panel in the passenger footwell where the amps go.

Last night as stated i got the carpet finished up for the most part. Still need to finish the one footwell, both speaker boxes. I got the 50 bajillion staples out of the side bolster panels. Then i spent some time waffleing on the final decision of the upholstery pattern and finally marked the final decision. All materials are in so Sunday night when we return from the coast all weekend i will make the side panels. The list is getting smaller. But i still think i will take a day off next week to tune, maintenance, and detail the boat. As the boat has not had a detail all winter and she needs some fresh wax on the hull and all of the dust and grime out of the interior. 4th of July here we come!

got the port side bolster finished last night. I need to get some shorter #12 SS bolts and washers along with another can of spray glue 3M on the way home and things will dramatically change in the cockpit tonight. The small 13x20 passenger dash bolster will get made tonight. And I plan to put the terminals into the speaker boxes so that the wiring can begin.

Is your dash carbon, or simply wrapped?
The new wheel looks awesome! 8)

wrapped with the 3D carbon twill material. I have thought about doing a vacuum bag mold with real carbon at some point as a small project.

at lunch today I banged out 90% of the passenger side dash plate. Still needs a steam, couple spots pulled tighter, the 360 edge blue pipe trim. and the handle attached. BUT the hard part is done.

In case anyone is interested in how i do the seams. I cut on my band saw plastic tile SLUTER STRIPS and staple them in for a thin rigid crisp edge. making suer you stack the materials correctly then a row of 1/2" staples locks it in. A thin shot of spray glue to the wood side of the 1/2" foam to secure it and start my stretching process.

ok last night i accomplished a ton in only 4 photos but it was a lot of hidden rigging and stuff of that nature.
list: Cleaned the port side before installing the bolsters, port bolster inside shelf carpeted, port bolster installed, port dash panel finished and installed, fuel tank flush vent installed and hoses connected, Fuel hoses connected to the tank, Battery trays (drilled, sealed, screwed), engine bay storage drainage tiles cut to fit via the band saw, Swapped out some washers for larger ones on the starboard bolster, started cleaning on the engine, Removed the factory fuel filter bracket and replaced it with a larger flow brand new bracket and filter, (bought the wrong fittings so it did not get a 100% completion), Fuel filler hose attached both ends, removed a good amount of the blue tape, i am missing a few other things. But i got a lot of little things done.

Today is wrap up the fuel system and button up the fuel hatch.

Love how easy it is to slide the bench seat way forward to open the fuel hatch and the abundant amount of access and space for maintenance and any work on the engine and systems.

The contrasting vinyl design really makes it pop.

THANKS, he plain is a smooth ultra white where as the Diamond Pleats is a textured ultra white. In addition the pleats has a 1/2' backer sewn on it so the pleated sections are extra padded compared ot the flat areas and this helps it stand out also i feel.

UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES! ok well the hard and fast 4th of July has come and gone. And YES she was on the water multiple days this holiday weekend.. Saturday started out with a few bump: busted trailer light wires that relieved a huge wasp nest in the tong that had to be combatted old wild west style with 2 cans of spray at once. Shoot up the hole and the second to sharp shooter the flying terrors out the air. 36 victims were taken. Rest their heartless souls.

Well the boat is not 100% she still needs a few details finished here over the next week, BUT she is kid friendly, safe, and water ready so.... the remaining little detail things can be worked on while we use the boat.

Image

Finally organized my SS hardware. I need about 3 more large containers to get al of the screws and other items organized. Already have a large restock order made to refill my supply as the boat ate up a lot of my "IN HOUSE" supply.

That is awesome that you made it on the water per your plan. You've been really working hard. Congrats!
