Hi first time to post but since owning our FW this is first place I come to with any questions. The one problem I'm having is the boat will only crank when battery switch is turned to the parallel setting. I replaced the batteries and still having the same issue. Is this normal because the manual says to turn switch on parallel in emergency. Besides that everything works fine. So is something I should worry about or let it ride?

Does the engine crank at normal speed on parallel? If it cranks slower than normal you could have weak batteries or bad wiring that is not delivering enough amperage.

If it only cranks in the parallel position, it kind of sounds like it could be a bad selector switch. If the engine battery or house battery will not crank at all individually but do fine together, that would indicate that the switch is only making contact in the "parallel" position. Use a volt meter to check for power at the various settings.

The battery selector switch panel can be accessed by removing 4 screws. It may help to work the wiring harness a little to help access the back side of the switch panel.
