Just took a trip to Lake Erie and it's a little rough up there but nothing I havent done 10 times before. I was home for a few days and took the family down to Cumberland. We boated the first day with no issues, second day we were on a long run and made a wrong turn. I stopped to look at the map and smelled gas very strong. Blower was already running and I shut off the motor. I open the engine hatch and the bilge had fuel in it. I soaked up all the fuel with a towel and rags into a trash bag then dumped some water in and let it air out. I found the high pressure fitting was loose. If she wasn't with me I would swear the wife was trying to get rid of me. I know for a fact that fitting was tight I changed the pump about a year ago and was very careful. Makes me want to replace the high pressure lines completely. I would have been stuck if one of them burst. I am thinking about putting medium loctite on them. It could have been very bad.

you have to use fuel rated lock tight. it is called something special. I will look at the bottle in ,y tool box at lunch and let you know what it is called. YOU CANNOT USE STANDARD LOCK TIGHT ON FUEL.

Thanks jd I appreciate you checking on that for me. I haven't fixed it right yet. We just got home, while on the lake I just retightened it. Thinking about replacing the lines completely though.

Rick
