Not to side track this post, but I wonder how many of you are ex-military? I was in the Army for 4 years. It was the military that prepared me for IT. Dispite all the bs, I am greatfull to Uncle Sam for the training. It aslo gives me great respect for those that have had to or are serving in Iraq.

Sales & Marketing manager for an intrusion detection system manufacturer (catch the bad guys climbing fences). Bulk of our business is Europe and Middle East (interesting - last trip to Dubai saw a FW H190 just like mine!). Spend a lot of time traveling overseas, so my boat is "therapy" when I get home! Prior to boating I spent 25 years designing/building/driving drag cars as an outlet, but got too old, too cranky and too slow!!

Another IT guy here. My official title is Senior Principle Information Technology Business Systems Analyst (I like to spell all the words out for dramatic effect) for a medical device company. Basically, I'm just another IT guy who's been in same IT group longer than anyone else, but not in "management" at the moment. Like 230 Mike, IT has been paying my bills for around 20 years (I started when I was 12).
