Do you think they are really the first showing the new models?

To the general public, quite possibly. Not the first time dealers have seen them.

Four Winns sent a bunch of early 2009 models down there for the 2009 Photo Shoot. They have been using that location the last few years instead of northern Michigan. Thunder Marine is very close to that Holiday Inn and they just asked the factory if they could offer this to their customers. They are the only ones in the world because they just happen to be next to where the shoot takes place, it's not because they have special connections with Four Winns.

The only other 2009s produced this early will be at the dealer meeting in June at the factory in Michigan. The production line doesn't switch model years until mid July and dealers don't see them until usually August.

Cap'n, it is actually before most dealers have seen the new model year boats because the photos from this shoot are the ones sent out to all the dealers to preview the new boats.

Thanks for the update 4Winns. You are correct, most dealers have probably not seen them, but are aware of what to expect. Local dealers here in Michigan are often at the factory and they are the ones that have seen some of the new models being prepped before the trip to Fla. for the photo shoot. A couple models have been out for shakedown sea trials on Lake Cadillac this past month.

Do you work for Winnisquam Marine? I look forward to seeing the pics on their site from the dealer meeting each year.

Capn, yes I'm sure those lucky dealers next to the factory get a sneak peek when the factory is running their boats out of the Test Center or if they are a dealer that picks up their boats at the factory they will definently see them around there. Dealers that are not so close usually get their first look from the photos at the shoot in May and at the dealer meeting in June.

Yeah, I do work at Winnisquam Marine. I have grown up with Four Winns, been out to the factory many times and been to the dealer meetings and sales seminars. You can say I'm obsessed with boats, but I don't think that's a bad thing...

I've gotten some 2009 pictures from the factory but only when I promised not to post the pictures online yet. We will be getting a few of the boats from that photo shoot this next week and I will try to get those posted on the website for everyone to check out...

Yes Lambert, that was the first public display of the 2009 product. I will also say that so far I've liked the things that the factory has done with the 09 product. No major sportboat changes like the SL series last year, but some nice visual changes and great new options. As I get the boats in, I'll try to post pictures and info.

I'm sorry it takes so long for me to reply, but this is the busy season at the marina and the hours are just crazy... The marina is doing everything it can to get as many happy new and used Four Winns owners out there as possible.

Thanks for the update. If I lived in the NorthEast. you would see me at your showroom often. I have always been impressed with what you offer, your prices and I have heard nothing but good about your service too. Also, you have a beautiful area there to go boating.
