Man. I'm gonna hate to see what all you guys do to your pontoon boats when you get old.

Pontoon boats? Really? That will never happen, even though there are a few few 500 hp ones out there. I will never have a need for one

Well, yeah, I'd like to take a ride on a Bennington or one of the other mega-can-boats. But those don't usually have 47 strings of Christmas lights hanging all over them  .

I like all the ideas that Y'all are sharing with LED installs. Keep sharing!

I plan on instaling the following:

Use strips to line the perimeter of the underside of the swim platform (so they are not visible, but shine into the water ... and make the outline of the platform glow).

Install the pond light pods on the trim tabs, to shine to the rear (like the mega $$$ yacht ones).

Inslall more courtesy lighting in the cockpit

I also like the cupholder rings (nicely done!).

All of this for our new "pontoon boat" ... you see, we are OLD!

Mike, my dad went over to a 27 foot Bennington went he got rid of the 1970's I/O I've lovingly referred to in other posts. Not a tritoon, and he only got a 90HP, but still a pretty nice ride even if it is underpowered a bit. Tons of room on it and the interior is VERY nice.

Bennington makes a nice boat! But the real question - did he put Christmas lights all over it?

Not picking on the Christmas light people, I've just always thought it was kind of funny.

I saw a pic of a Bennington with a bored-out 525 I/O. Top speed was something like 85-90. That guy can put all the Christmas lights he wants on it  .
