We had a miserable weekend as well. The boat continues to sit in the driveway, soaked by rain and chilled by cool temps. We even had a few flakes of wet snow yesterday morning!

The forcast is better for later on this week so maybe, just maybe, I will wet the boat for the first time this year by the end of the week.

We have the day off Friday so we will be on lake Winnipesaukee any day that the wind isn’t whipping. I think we will be spending allot of time at the sand bar, and maybe a favorite cove or two. We will also as always take the early morning ride on the Jet Ski, and see if we can beat our record of 43 miles before breakfast.

Bring on the sun. The lake temp is currently 50 degrees.

Have a good, and safe weekend all.

Bill

We'll be in Pt.Pleasant NJ out on Barnegat bay and maybe a cruise in the Atlantic if weather permits. At least one evening at the Patio bar dock and dine and plenty of relaxing at the marina with an Ice cold Presidente beer! I'll be getting familiar with all the electronics. Think SUN :D

Memorial Day is a United States Federal Holiday that is observed on the last Monday of May (observed in 2008 on May 26). It was formerly known as Decoration Day. This holiday commemorates U.S. men and women who have died in military service to their country. It began first to honor Union soldiers who died during the American Civil War. After World War I, it was expanded to include those who died in any war or military action. One of the longest standing traditions is the running of the Indianapolis 500, which has been held in conjunction with Memorial Day since 1911. It is also traditionally viewed as the beginning of summer by many, since many schools are dismissed around Memorial Day.

Tonight (Friday), we'll see if I can get the new boat into the launch at Great East Lk (5 min from the house) .... while there is no waiting line of other boaters, just in case I have problems. The launch area is not intended for 26' + boats.

We'll be at Winni sometime over the holiday, as well.

Y'all have fun .... and watch out fer the other guy!

+1 Pet575 . .

Yeah, absolutley Txjole2. Some of us are living vicareosly through you on those crazy Texas lakes . . We would like - no, we want - to have a blast this weekend if you would be so kind . . .
Raining and cold here for the next couple of days it appears so the closest I am getting to boating this weekend will involve a bottle of wax . .
But then I suspect Txjole2; you could probably say the same, just in a different context . . .

Everybody, don't get so caught up in the weekend that you forget to fly your flags.

To all the veterans on the board, you have my most sincere appreciation (now and all through the year).
