Top speed of Shifter Karts will be dictated by the track which we race on….. We will change gear to fit the specific condition. For road racing we could set up the Kart to go up to about 125mph but typically 90mph to 110 mph. max. They are very Fast and Quick. Many of top F1, Indycar racer has these (or direct drive kart) for training method.
You can get a brand new race ready stock shifter Kart for about 9K….Although like any motor sports you could spend a lot of money on building engines……
It is just a hobby…..
