klpjr77 - you lucky dog. Winnisquam was where I ventured to get my rig - I LOVED it there. If I could figure out a way to keep my current standard of living and relocate the the lakes region - I would sneak in tomorrow.

Blessed,

I hear ya, I love that place!
Winnisquam marine is who will be servicing my boat from now on.
My Sister in law is from Canada, the Ontario area.
Lot's of lakes around there!!
Winniepausakee is where I keep my boat, right on the channel that connects Paugus Bay to the Main Lake! Quite a scene, as soon as I can figure out how to post/attach and or copy pictures into the body here, I will

Ok still can't figure out how to take a picture and attach it here!!
Help!!!

Very cool. I have to ask, how did you get the standard windshield on the SS model? Most have the lower profile tinted version.

I had the boat special ordered with the taller windshield and black interior. I tried to get them to paint the the windshield frame and tint it, but they said that wasn't possible. I'm going to have it done at the end of the season. When you have a few diffrent Dealers competting for your busness you'd be suprised what you can accomplish. It also does't hurt to have'd talked to the FourWinns Marketing and Design executives. I have to give coudos to both the Boathouse in Topeka, KS and the Village Marina and Yacht Club in Eldon, MO. They both are very eager to please and bent over backwards to get my busness.

I go through there just about every weekend. I put in in Center Harbor and cruise down that way. That area of the lake seems to be the busiest and nice too.

I can help you post if you want to email me your pictures.

Oh yeah - good eye. I hadn't noticed you went with the tall windshield substitute. I hadn't thought of asking to substitute the interior trim color. I might have considered going with red to tie into the striping on mine.
Sweet, I'm not the only one torturing the factory to sub this and change that. There is a strange little satisfaction in the feeling like your boat was built "just for you - just the way you want it" huh.

The cover is $615.00 msrp but, buying it with the boat it was discounted about 20%. Not sure what your Four Winns dealer could do for you on the price, I'd expect at least 10-15% off. I'm actually waiting(5 weeks now) on the correct cover for my boat. The one that came with it was for a standerd 220SS with the short windshield. The cover is well built, easy to use and trailers very well. I did add a third strap(front of post to nose of boat) in the front to help it keep it's shape going down the interstate. Worth the money IMO.

That is a beauty !! How come you need the extra strap on the cover when it has the ratchet straps? What kind of prop is that you are using?

The prop is a 14 3/4" X 19 Stainless Volvo Penta and I'm very pleased with it's performance. I use the extra strap on the front of the support pole to keep the cover from being pushed down in front of the bow support pole by the wind at 60+mph. From the factory it has two straps that go to the front cleats leaving the front center with no support. I should be getting my new cover next week I hope it's the right one this time, it may help with that same issue, as the entire ratchet strap will be under the rubrail as desgined. If it is correct I'll probably sell the one I have now that fits a Std. 220SS with either arch and low windshield.

Busacharger - unfortunatly, the tall windshield version will not completely solve the "vacuum packing" the bow area. I have the 210 also with the tall winshield and I had issues trailering it home with sides being pulled up by the cover being pushed inside the bow.
An extra strap on the anti-pooling poles may help but I was going to have a couple of loops added about a third of the way back from the bow to run straps or bungies to the trailer rails as well.
Further, I noted that the windshild header, the walk-through hinge and the Sirus antenna chafe the inside of the cover which I expect will wear a hole through eventually. I am going to use pipe insulation on the windshild header and maybe over the winter have some felt type backing sewn in a few of these "rub spots".
An extra layer where the "aft ladder bumps" are to prevent a poke through if ratcheted nice and snug wouldn't hurt either. It's such a nice cover it figure it's worth a few bucks "perfecting". Escpecially with cut-backs in FW - who knows how long it will be before goodies such as these will become impossible to get . . . :(

Blessed, I got my new cover a few days ago so I straped it on and took it up the hi-way to see if it was any better than the old one. The results are about the same as far as the bow getting packed down by the wind. The new cover has a warning to remove the support poles before trailering printed on it. I don't think that would work very well so I just drilled a hole in the upper pole for the detent nipple to seat in just high enough to make the pole touch the floor. This set-up works great at 75mph. The cover is barely sucked down at all and the top of the support pole is only about 4"-5" above the bow sides. The cover is staying in a much more aerodynamic shape in the front without much strain on the fabric and the sides are also staying below the rubrail like they are supposed to. The real test will be this weekend on the trip to Table Rock Lake about 260 miles from my place.`
