Hi all, quick question that I hope someone can help me with... the snap-on cover on my 210 has these elastic bands (probably 1/4" round) that hook to affixed button hooks at the stern. The bands have started to fray (cloth covering weathered and internal rubber strands exposed and breaking) and I'm not finding any replacement parts anywhere online. Has anyone else looked to replace them? and provide a referral? -Thanks

Mine are still in good shape but I've wondered how long it would be before someone had this problem. You might try an auto upholstery place. Whatever you do, please update this thread if you find them.

Yep, I had to get new "shock cords" for my old FW. Dealer can get them for a few bucks.

I bought some for my H200 earlier this spring while prepping it for sale. I got them at the local boat canvas shop. I gave him $10 for three.

Thanks Aussie! Appreciate the help. I'm not seeing an online parts catalog that gets me to that item. Can you provide the url for reference?

http://www.fourwinns.net/partbook/index.php

For anyone that is interested, this is the general link to the FW parts index - simply look up your year, model, and what section of the boat and you are there!

Direct link to your 2005 Horizon 210 is http://www.fourwinns.net/partbook/basemodel.php?model=210H-U05. Then look under the bottom item - Canvas - then Canvass Assembly Hardware, and it is there under CLIP, SHOCK CORD WHITE #SCCW.

Thanks guys! I evidently wasn't giving it enough time to display the complete index/tree (site is slow - at least it was last night). I found it given the information provided...much appreciated!!! Now to just drop by the dealer and get some of them on order.

did you replace the rear elastic bands? I have to do the same on mine and was wondering how you get the old ones off? I assume its pretty easy but before I start doing something the hard way I thought I would check and see how you did it?

If you are buying the whole setup from a FW dealer you will get the bungee, and the two plastic pieces. To remove the old ones just grab the front piece with a pliers and then use a slotted screw driver in the back side and break the rear piece away.

The new black version of the bungee is much nicer and has a wider clamping surface. If the white ones pull through the canvas this is definitely the way to go!!! Kind of pricey from FW... $7.99 each plus tax

I got mine from a boat canvas shop here in Vancouver. He had everything needed including lending me the install tool (a small punch that you lightly hit with a hammer to secure the 2 pieces). If this guy had the parts, I would think other boat canvas shops would.
