Well, Choices II was dead on. We were around the lower end of the lake for the one day we were on the water. We started out at State Park Marina by the dam and headed up a little past the Kimberling City Bridge. Never saw one bit of debris.

Lake was beautiful. Spent a lot of time in Big Cow (right name?) Cove. Saw some good eye candy, but didn't have a camera on me. Sorry there are no pics to share. Did see a couple of relatively new 240 Horizons in there though. One was green, the other tan/stone-colored. Those belong to anyone on this board?

We are going to TR Aug. 16th, I'm glad the water is in such good cond. We'll be staying at Emerald Point and I was wondering where is this Big Cow Cove is with all the eye candy. I will make sure I have my camera on board.

Well, be careful. It wasn't LOTO Party Cove or anything like that. It was just the only place we found with people tied up in groups of more than 2 boats. I don't want you to be disappointed, thinking it is a treasure or anything.

Having said all of that, it is on Point #6, just south and a little east of the Kimberling City Bridge. There is also an area called the Swings that is west of the Kimberling City Bridge that is supposed to be similar or better. We had 7 guys on a SLOW pontoon boat and the water was rough, so we didn't even try to go that far.

The swings is just north of Point 9, in that cove that looks like a high heel. Cow creek is between pt5 and 6 on the south side, I dont remember which cove it is actually in. I would recommend the swings.

There is a good lake side food place north of the swings in Little Aunts Creek called Captain Hooks, it's more of a lunch type place.

For dinner on the water if you are looking for a bar atmosphere try Bearded Clam or Ahoys between point 7 and 8, just weest of the bridge where it says Fisher Creek, they are both down in that cove on the right.

Anything else let me know. Water temp was 88 last weekend.

Thanks Pet & Choices for the information I've never been past Indian Point or Big Cedar on the water we will try to voyage a bit further this time. We are going back in Sep. but will be staying in Branson. I was wondering what is the closest recomndable place to rent a slip (per night) to the Branson Strip?

Indian Point Marina almost always has slips available, but the slips themselves are horrible IMO. If you stay there make sure you've got good and big fenders.

A much better place on Indian Point is Table Rock Marina (417) 338-4433. Much smaller, MUCH nicer, but also much harder to get a reservation. With the floods this year you might have an easier time.

The Indian Point area will be the closest place to the strip; it's also on the same road as Silver Dollar City if you're interested.

For those that go to Table Rock Lake in MO. I found out where the Swing's Cove is located. It's near the Hwy 76 bridge by Cape Fear, MO. On some lake maps that call out the names of Mnts. and Bluffs you can find it at the Oswalt Bluff. We won't make it that far north this trip, but will go check out Cows Cove. My group is mostly on the older side, so we don't hammer the party action real hard anyway. Hope to be able to share some intertaining pictures with all when we return none the less. Any time you see the yellow 220SS give us a shout.

If anyone wants the GPS coordinates for the swings, let me know. The swing (actually I think there's more than one but when you mention "the swing" everyone knows which one you're talking about) is not as big a deal as it once was as I understand it, because a boy was severely injured on it a couple of years ago so they lowered it way down. Also, the water there can get pretty churned up, as it's not really in a protected cove.

More than injured, he died. I don't know if it was jumping off the cliff or swinging from the rope swing. Just got home from there, lake is not at 918, only 3 feet high.

Sorry for the delayed post. Been back from TRL for over 2 weeks now, just been busy. Anyway made real good use of the boat while there. The place we stay at is just 2 coves NW of the 13 bridge (smack dab in the middle of the lake) and we hit all 3 major arms in 3 days and went a long ways up each. Went through about 50+ gallons of gas, but it was worth it. It's the only lake I go to where you can cruise like that. The lake was in great shape, much better than I expected. I saw maybe 2 or 3 floating pieces of wood and a few stumps, but that was after getting quite a ways up into the river arms.

Table Rock Lake as of 8-22 is clear of debris from the dam to Cricket Creek(AR.), and clarity is only about 6' instead of the usual 12'-16'. The lake is still about 3'5" high but going down slowly. We actually had to wait for the dock to be let out one morning so that's a good sign that it's getting back to normal.

I thought I'd share a couple of photos from Table Rock last week. Still waiting on photos from the In-Laws I'm sure they're better than mine.
