New for 2009 is the little one of the line..... the SL222. Posted here because we don't have a place to the SL series, might have to add one to the board. Later this year, the full line will be complete and includes, SL222, SL242,SL262 and SL282.

This SL 222 was being tested in cool early spring weather in northern michigan on Lake Cadillac earlier this year. Note the new pastel yellow hull.

Four Winns also offers an Ultimate arch package on the SL222 that includes a stainless steel arch with ski tow and custom built top, board racks, tower lights, and four extra stereo speakers. Plus, the Four Winns Ultimate stereo upgrade includes Sony speakers, a second amplifier, and a transom speaker switch. Combine the two Ultimate packages, and the SL222 morphs into a water craft that lingers in a wakeboarder's dreams.

A range of engine options are available, from 270hp up to 320hp.

What do you think ???

:D

Wow ! They are really going retro with the pastel colors.... I like the yellow more than the blue. for some reason, I think I see the demise of the funship when they finally get this lineup into full production. These boats have all the features of the funship with a real nice touch of opulence in their interior treatments and styling. Notice the step in the hull? I noticed a boat at Potter's Beach with a step in the hull like that "Fastrac?" I think it might have been a Regal. I think that step id new from last year's models. The short hull almost hides the split chine. I still think they are trying to cram too much interior into the confines (Fortunately, It hasn't reached "5 lbs Shit into 2 lbs bag" status yet!! :? )

I still don't like it. To me it looks like someone tried mating a Volvo with a refrigerator, then added a woodgrain accent. To each his own. I'll just keep my SS for now!

I'm not crazy about the colors, but the form factor is beginning to grow on me a bit. As long as I don't see it from the front ;) . Thanks, Cap'n!

I love the 262, would like one myself. I look forward to getting a ride from my dealer some time. Had a Boston Whaler years ago and that had incredible handling offshore(similar tri hull design from what Ive seen in the pics)

I know for me the 242 and 262 were nice, but a bit big for us.

This is looking like it may be the next boat in my garage. Very curious as to what the ticket price will be when launched.

In agreement with the pastell colors. To each his own. I would like something like this in black with either a yellow or red accent line.

Will have to see this in person soon.

My dealer just recieved a SL222 on the lot, with a new red and black graphics package on a white hull. It is equipped with a VP-DP, and 320hp (sorry guys, not sure which power plant that is) He also has 2 '09 h180's in some new pastel colors. One is in a yellow like the 222 pictured above, the other is in a pastel blue.

I haven't been a fan of the cut-flat bow of the SL series, but I find the 222 the best looking of the SL group.

If I am by there tomorrow, I'll try and get some pics.

Oh yeah...... A quick look on the VP website lists @5.7GXi as the powerplant with 320hp.

I like my 240 with a deluxe wakeboard tower better.

Not sure about the yellow, makes it looks a little faded. I worry about the gray interior getting hot in the sun, other than that I think it's pretty slick.

As I get older my taste seems changing a little. I never care about any deck boat but I start to like SLs. They grow on me. ... 222 is too small for me but they look nice as long as I do not look from dead front. I still love Horizons but when I shop for another new boat (God knows when... up to my wife) I would seriously consider larger SLs
