I would like to (at some point):

* Paint a color stripe on the hull. We have been back and forth over yellow or red. Likely be yellow (would go with the blue canvas nicely). Mimic the original FW color stripes and then do a boot stripe as well.

* Recover trailer bunks with new carpet (worn through at points).

* Add storage at the helm for charts, handheld electronics, binoculars, etc.

* Build a seaboard (plastic) table/work-surface that mounts over the gunnel, next to the grill .... for food prep.

* Under water lighting, from under the swim platform. Either rope LED lighting or some pond lights ... or both.

* Additional LED cockpit lighting.

* Change instrument lighting to red .... with a dimmer.

* Add two additional 29-group house batteries.

* Install an inverter.

* Build side guide-on bunks for the trailer. I got spoiled by the ones on the trailer for the 97 245 Sundowner. Plus, we often launch and retrieve in an area with current or wind.

Someday:

* Electric windlass
* Generator
* Heat & A/C

Man, Millhaven, you are ambitious!
I've got a short list--
replace rotted wood in the original sunpad, came apart by the hinges the other day
finally install the bimini top I got a few years ago!
install a new sound system, the old one won't play CDs anymore
maybe add GPS, I have wanted this for a couple of years now
wetsand hull, the original red is blotchy pink now, really looks great!
buff it out, last chance before getting a paint job I guess

And fix whatever else needs fixing after we pull it out for the season in a few weeks.

I want to:

Add second battery (I have all the stuff..need a little time and advice)
Add an amp and subwoofer or two
I really want some LED's inside the boat, but have a hard time justifying as I only boated at night once last year...4th of July.

Who needs justification? My boat is perfectly capable and safe as it sits now.... We are all changing things to make our boats more personal and functional. LED lights are cool and will impress any night.... Go ahead and do them it may encourage you to go out and use your boat more at night!

A quick update on my boat ....
I decided to put it in dry storage for the winter so my list is sitting there waiting until spring. I needed the space in my garage so I could paint the walls, replace the ceiling and redo the electrical system! Plus I had a couple of projects I need to do on my tractors and I want to keep the one tractor I do snow with in my gargae for the winter so space was just too tight.
I can pick my boat up anytime after April 15 so I am pushing hard to complete the garage projects before then so I can then concentrate my efforts on the boat.
