Looks like my boating days are going to be a bit limited. Just found out we are expecting our first child due early May. What a great suprise. I'm looking to sell my 260. Anyone want a new toy?

Sell the boat? Why? Our three (4 in December) year old has spent the last two summer's on our boats and she loves it. So you have to keep the boat at home or in storage and only use it occasionally, trailer it to the lake and enjoy it! It will be a great stress reliever and somewhere you can go for "Daddy time" Maybe you should consider selling your "beater" Hummer or the snowmobile? You will now have to set priorities! Spend the winter like the rest of us doing "chores" and dreaming of the water. If your worried about the money--- don't worry, the clothes come from grandparents. Aunts & Uncles and just about everybody you know ( Wnat some, I have a basement full), food is minimal since they breastfeed for the first year and diapers are really not that expensive (cut beer consumption in half and their covered!) Be selfish keep the boat! It's the last toy you'll truly have a say in!

Oh yeah (I almost forgot) Congratulations! Be prepared for your life to change (180 degrees better) !!!!!

Congratulations! It'll be awesome. +1 on keeping the boat if possible. Kids really aren't that expensive until they hit ~10-12 years. Unless it's a girl, in which case you'll have to buy another cell phone about 3 years from now, and then every 6 months from then on.

Besides, keeping the boat will make it look like you have a good reason to be out in the driveway when you can't stand to be in the house any longer. Put up the bimini, open the cooler that you now have all to yourself, crack open a cold one (and no guilt there since you aren't actually on the water), and enjoy some tunes. See? You guys thought I was nuts.

Congratulations Dave!
I would also encourage to keep a boat.... You might miss a one season but so what….... Keep it in your yard…….. Inform your wife that economy is so bad that it is not a good time to sell…....
You are gonna love boating even more with your little one……

Who said anything about nuts? I was thinking genius!

All you guys having babies are making me look bad. I told my wife she has to wait until I've been a fireman for a year before she gets to have one.

Does the 310 have A/C? Maybe you should go for a 318 just to be safe. It's the baby you are thinking about right.

Congrates! Don't sell! We have a 3 year old and thought the same thing. Our sun loves the boat. Our boating lifestyle changes the first 2 years but it was still awesome. Plus, you get to enjoy a new boating experience through your childs eyes. Some baby hints. WE purchased a folding baby tent to keep him out of the sun when we were visiting an island. Worked very well. It folded up to the size of a large plate. We also bought a large plastic clothes basket to place our son in while docking. We lined it with a blanket and it also worked well.
Good luck!
