Bear in mind that dead rise is only but a small part of the equation for how a boat "rides". My 248 has 17 degrees at the transom and rides like a dream compared to my last boat that had 20 degrees at the transom. Deadrise is variable, weight is a key factor and more deadrise will make a boat "tippy" feeling when adrift.
