My family has a house on the chesapeake bay. We love it when we are there on the weekends. My wife and I are considering a move to a warmer climate where we could live on the water and boat all year. We would like to have access to the ocean/ ICW where we could explore, eat, drink and be merry. For my work, all I need is a reliable high speed network connection. I do have two younger children who need a good school system. Any Ideas?

I agree with the above, I live in Sydney which is great for boating but, for weather you cant beat SE Qld, good waterways at both the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast(Noosa) especially when all you need for work is HS Internet. You should be able to get 24k domestic conection there, friendly relaxed lifestyle.
cheers Robbi

Not Maine, thats for sure. Id say Barbados is a good choice and I loved living in Orange County California.

I would have thought Hawaii for you guys. Personally the most idyllic
place I've ever been to is Rarotonga in the Cook islands utter paradise.

I'd have to say California as well. No hurricanes to speak of and great boating waters.

Well, Destin FL is pretty darn nice. Hurricanes just allow you to get a new boat every few years

Thanks everyone! Down under may be a bit far, Not sure of TCI ( do not know what it stands for), Seattle looks great with the mountains but it is rather cool inthe winter. I have been concentrating on the gulf coast of Florida; Tampa bay area. thanks for all the suggestions.

TCI stands for the Turks and Caicos Islands.... There is an incredible blog from a couple that moved down to the islands to live.
