I forgot to note that everyone who uses the head bangs the door into the tv. so i put a small black rubber bumper on the tv. - Ryan

Good point about the head door. Another reason I did not choose to mount on there.

Here is a previous posts that mentions a couple of different methods and locations for mounting the TV.

I too am looking into this project for next season! Good to know I am not alone. I was considering putting an arm mount on the side by the microwave that would swing out when in use. I am not really worried about "going to sleep with the tv on" but more just hanging out with the kids. It is good to see people have different ideas! It will be great if people can post pictures to help those who need the visual aids!

The factory FW Installed TV does not get hit by the door. Four Winns uses a limiting cable on the door (stainless steel braided cable in a plastic sheath) which prevents the door from opening into the TV.

Just posting that info for anyone what wants to mount it where Four Winns did in 06.

So I take it all you guys must sleep with your heads towards the bow if you sleep in the V-berth ?
We don't so the best place for us was to mount the TV where the mirror is at the bow.
Everyone in the cabin can see it, we can see it perfectly at bed time, it can even be seen from the mid cabin.

Just my 2 cents.

Cap'n Morgan -- I was thinking about mounting a flat screen in the bow of the boat as well. Where are you getting your power. Did you snake your cable and power cord through the storage bins or are you doing something different?

You could snake it throught the storage compartments or underneath the shelf into the anchor locker and through the bulkead to the TV.

my power was ran from behind the steps (going out to the bow) then along starboard side to the engine compartment, then across the engine compartment then back up the port to the breaker panel. you can access behid the steps by removing the dash and the ceiling panel in the mid berth. snaking the wires up behind the panel where the radio and breaker panel is was a bitch.

Are the dash and ceiling panel in the mid berth easy to remove? I guess the better question is, are they easily put back in the proper place?

easy, the hardest thing was pulling the steering wheel (the nut was extremely tight) and i had to brace the wheel from turning with the nut.
