Can't wait for summer, got our (Dad and I) 2002 horizon 240 in the fall,(Canadian Thanksgiving) and had it out once or twice for about a total of an hour. Most of it Dad teaching me how to dock! A video camera would have made a good blooper, but hey gotta learn somehow!! I think the biggest lessons I learned was that you can't steer when in neutral and slow down!!
It's my first boat and Dad's second, he had a 19.5 Chrysler a looong time ago.

Matt, Let me tell ya something about docking. Having a great looking, loud boat is one thing. But if you really want to impress, being able to pull the boat up to the dock and stop it perfectly is a definate plus for the ladies. Afterall, who wants to jump every time to get in and out of the boat. With a little practice, I learned years ago how to pull the boat up, and litterally go sideways to the dock. No jumping to/from the bow and what not. Just a nice easy step from the side. That'll earn you some praise with a boat full of hotties that need to use the indoor plumbing at the restaurant.

docking is the true skill of the Captain.

Master docking your boat, and you can master anything.

As for the ladies... don't forget to drop the line, "If you think I can slide this boat right to that spot, imagine what.... " --- nevermind.

Post some pictures of the new boat when you guys get a chance!

As a previous 240 owner - it's always great to see what other people are playing with!

I actually just bumped into the guy that bought my 96 240, and he loves it. It was a great boat, big enough for most lakes with plenty of room for gear and all of the ladies "boat bags", purses etc. Our 240 is mostly what got me committed to FW and a big reason I bought the 328.

We have a 2006 H240 that we bought in 2007; had it for 2 full seasons - April to October in North Carolina. Our whole family loves it, so do the friends, cousins, neices and nephews. It's just the right size for day boating, water sports, and a nice ride in rough parts of the lake.

You need to come to Oz - it's summer time here right now and perfect boating weather..

Was out Saturday on our 2000 sq km bay, water temp was mid 70's (21C) , air temp mid 80's (28C)... 5 knot breeze, just perfect..!
