Hey guys,

Any leads on cheaper parts from Four Winns? I want to order the cockpit bi-fold doors and a spare aluminum wheel/tire for my trailer. The dealer here in Ontario Canada quoted $595 for the doors which seems quite steep. That may be an installed price but I would think that is a simple install.

Also want to replace the stock speakers and put in an amp, sub and second battery. I am not going to do this work myself as I just don't have the skills. I may just take the boat to an automotive stereo shop in the spring.

By the way - love my 210SS and can't wait for spring! I only put 20 hours on it in 2008 as I didn't pick it up until the end of July but plan on putting lots of hours on it this year. I am on the waiting list for a slip at a great marina 10 minutes from home and my office. I can see sneaking down there a lot during the week for "business meetings"!

E-Mail the guys at Winnisquam Marine with your boat info (HIN number and such as well) -- tell them what you want and they'll get you a quote.

They ship stuff all over the place and will definitely give you a discounted price. Their service is 2nd to none (ask a bunch of us on the boards).

They are a bit hectic getting ready for a boat show this weekend - but they should respond.

I think the email they set up for ordering is ifourwinns@winnisquammarine.com or you can email Ryan directly - Ryan@winnisquammarine.com

Best of luck!

As for the stereo -- depending on how crazy you want to go - give yourself some credit! You can do that type of stuff yourself! But - any good quality automotive installation shop should be able to help you. Polk and JL Audio seem to be the favorites on this board (and many others).

Congrats to another 210SS owner....
I bought my spare tire and carrier through iBoats.com. Very inexpensive, and matched my existing set.
Spare Batt is easy....

Some others in here also did the amp/sub, etc. Just look around. Looked fairly easy as well.

Good luck!

I would check with Ryan for sure. He will give you a great deal. I thought about adding those doors to mine to for those cool nights. I guess that might have to wait a while though for that kind of money. Why are accessories for boats so damn expensive?? I just checked with Ryan on getting a flag pole for mine and even with him giving me an awesome deal its almosst $200.00!!! fOR A FLAG POLE!!!!

Hi I have chrome/steel wheels on my H180 trailer,I tried to source a spare to match and found them too expensive in Ontario. But Royal Dist. sells a nice chrome rim separately that is close.Once you add the cost of the tire its still reasonable. Its just an alternative,we don't have all the suppliers the US boaters have and shipping large items across the border is very expensive.

Hay Farley, where are you located? I'm in Barrie, so we boat on Simcoe, and the Severn River. Which dealer are you using?

I am in Burlington and bought the boat from The Boat Warehouse in Coldwater. I think I did get a good price on the boat but had some headaches with trailer light issues (LED lights that didnt work with the Mercedes hitch electronics) etc.

More importantly - great to hear from a local SS owner! Would love to come up to Simcoe sometime and see what its all about!

Barrie and Burlington eh? I keep my H200 on the Vernon Narrows in Huntsville.

About the doors, I've been planning that myself, however I'm thinking I may just make a set myself out of smoked plexi. It's not rocket science, and would look a lot nicer.

What I'd really like to track down is some nice channel with a wiper and have a simple drop in/out door like what Malibu uses on their walkthrough. That's by far the sexiest walkthrough door I've ever seen. Check them out when you're at a boat show.

Simcoe is nice, but I generally only boat there because it's very close to home. The water can get a little big (qucikly) and there's not much to look at other than real estate. The Severn River on the other hand, is quite interesting. Locks, islands, marine railway, etc. Pretty cool up there, and it's only about 20 mins from Coldwater...

I bought my boat in Coldwater, too. From Sue Chappel. I had (and continue to have) a great experience with them. Did you know that they, along with their sister store (Boat Warehouse in Kingston) are supposed to be the largest Four Winns dealer in the world? Hard to imagine...

Regarding the doors, I just put the front cover on and close the windshield. If it's cold enough to want the doors, you likely aren't in the bow anyway...

Have a good weekend. Only 142 days until June 1!

I also bought my boat from Sue - over the phone without ever going up there. until I picked it up. It was all about price after I had the model picked out and I didn't want to drive to Kingston to pick one up!

I was thinking of trying to do the whole Trent Severn system from one end to the other in the spring. I have done parts of it on rented houseboats but wonder what the speed record is for doing the whole thing...???
