All things being well, late next week I should take delivery of our new H180. So I thought I should show you all a few pics of where she will be tied up when we are up the river. I have spent some time constructing the landing over the last few visits up the river, being one for recycling all the materials excluding some screws were second hand and most importantly FREE. The landing has a slight bend in the middle to accommodate the shape of the boat. The end poles line up with the position of the cleats on the boat to make for easy mooring when docking.
Yours truly

Lookin' good!

Ardy - did you go with the boat re-paint, or did your new, red one make it in?

I wish I had that easy of access to my boat!

Very nice!

So it's fair to say you're getting a bit of an upgrade, eh? Boat, that is.

Nice location! Is that freshwater (looks like it)?
I am lucky as well, I can keep our boat in the protected harbor behind our house here in Long Island NY. I drive down to the beach (2 min ride) jump in our Walker Bay dinghy and paddle out, it's kept on a rotating mooring. Salt water though so the stendrive maintenance is a bit much!

An Aussie wearing crocs. Up the river there terrific even if I look like a complete slob, who cares!
As for the lovely admiral, definitely a keeper, not many wives would let there husbands go and buy a new boat when there are a thousand things that need doing around the house, hence the new boat is being named after her.
The new boat should be in my possession by next Friday I went with the repainted one (getting very excited now)
Our block is located on a backwater which leads into the River Murray which is all fresh water. It is about 5 to 6 feet deep in the middle of the backwater and about 3 feet deep by the landing .Because it is in a back water we get virtually no boat traffic at all which means it is lovely and peace full, Not to mention , safer and certainly more enjoyable for swimming and canoeing etc.
I hope to have a "croc" load of photos to share of the new boat in about a week.

Oh yeah, no crocodiles in the Murray , although we have been known to occasionally pull the leg of the unsuspecting international tourist staying with us.

Very cool location. Post pictures if the new boat in it's home once it finally arrives.

This photo was taken a few years ago but it puts the backwater ( the creek as we put it) into perspective. The boat is tied up where the new landing is

Wow, gotta love that plastic chair for 'cockpit seating'. You REALLY are getting an upgrade!

Given that it's 28F here this morning, pictures like that really make me miss boating season. Hell, ANY season other than winter!

Enjoy one of the longer weeks of your life. That looks like a sweet setup, though-very scenic.

Ardy that is a neat looking place you have there and I know you've been waiting a long time for that boat. Looks like a huge tree where your current boat was tide up. What kind of tree is that. Look forward to seeing pis of the new boat when you get it and congratulations to you and the Admiral.
