I have been watching this one all week, still no bids. Seems like a pretty decent deal.

I would say that $107,500 certainly seems "reasonable"

sleeps 4 comfortable downstairs, large head/shower, 2 flatscreen tv's 23in and 14inch. Downstairs can fit a pack and play easily!! Downstairs fridge, coffeemaker, 2 element stove top, microwave, built in vac, cherry cabinets, upstairs bar sink and fridge, 6 disc cd changer, sirius satellite radio, dvd player, not roughing it!!Awesome boat in brand new condition, LOW HOURS!
Engine- twin 6.2liter 320 hourse mercruiser bravo III drives, 6 year warranty - LOW HOURS! Approx. 60 hours on engines! Great Generator(HEAT & AIR!)

You thinking about it Cap'n? I would pay extra attention to due diligence on a cruiser of this size where the owner refers to the cockpit and cabin as the "upstairs" and "downstairs," but it could be a great get. I'm also curious where he planted the 23" TV...

Understood Sierra. I'm always looking for "the right boat at the right price" Not sure if this is the one, but it's worth consideration.

I agree with SIERRA....the "upstairs", "downstairs" thing is weird...but sometimes a rare gem is where you would least expect it!

That would be a nice boat for you Cap'n. Good price also.

Thanks Cat, I'm a little concerned about how hard those engines will have to work to achieve a good cruising speed loaded down with full gear and full tanks. 4,000 to 4,200 is working them pretty hard. I have an unlimited area to cruise in, with wide open waters. No river cruising, virtually zero no wake zones, and minimal boat traffic to contend with on most occasions.

What kind of speed/rpm do you 348 owners typically run at with a full load most often?

Well, it's at $105k and listed as reserve not met. Which could be anything, including an unrealistic minimum price.

Still, with only 60 hours that's a nice boat. We've got twin 6.0L inboards, so the 6.2L sterndrives should be plenty quick even with a full load.

You could get a 23" on the aft wall of the cabin, up next to the companionway door and steps. It'd be close, but it'd fit. I've got a 19" in the forward berth (on the face of the starboard side cabinet).

The real question is whether you can get someone local that you trust to take a close look at it.

We have the VP 5.7 osxi/xdp. We usually run about 27 MPH at 3600 RPM. That would be full water, fuel, and two adults. We have had 12 people on board already. And the boat had plenty of power to get on plane. We are very happy with the set up that we have. Our top speed is about 41 on the GPS.

Lots of great deals out there... That sure looks like one of them!

I wouldn't shy away from the price. 2006 is a great year -- fresh off warranty and finally took it's largest depreciation it.

That size of boat for five figures (99,999).

Tell him it's the highest you'll go. 6 figures is just too much. :D

The 'Buy It Now" is $107,500 which, if it's in proper condition, is still a great number relative to what others thought was reasonable to ask for 2006's. A quick scan online shows the low at $155K except for a 348 repo in Florida that indicates the power steering doesn't work, genny didn't start and it's missing camper top and cabin carpet - it's listed for $99K (and I'm sure you've seen all of these Cap'n). I'd say this is one I'd be looking into further I was in the market for a 348. There are great resources for reliable surveyors out there. And +1 for the power package - you'd be fine.

That is a really terrific looking boat and quite a deal. If you have previously been seriously considering/evaluating an upgrade at these costs then I believe some further exploration is required. Imagine using a boat for the next five years and then selling it for what you paid !? That is what you have here. The depreciation that others are taking on their boat would be non-existent so you would be in the black right away! If you are financing, think of the interest you would pay on $50,000 should you wait and buy next year on a "non deal boat" Time to have a heart to heart with your wife and your finances and see if you can "Buy it Now". Maybe some financial juggling and belt tightening is required but it is amazing what we can do if we really want something.

If you are at all serious then contact the seller and ask for a phone number so you can ask him a few more details. If it doesn't sell by the end of the auction then maybe take the wife for a four day weekend and go see the boat and do some minor negotiating!!! (He knows it's a deal at the $107,500) I think there may be a deal here but take it from a guy who has lost many of a "deal" due to hesitation-- Act quick but cautiously... if you get a "squirmy" feeling in your gut then run away and wait for the next deal to come. But don't waste the guys time with an unrealistic price expectation or if you don't have the cash/financing in place to pay him... He wants the boat gone not "sold pending finance approval"

I have seen this boat in person. I live in Lexington and the pictures taken are at my former dealer who just went out of business.

I do not know the owner of the boat however. I do remember the dealer saying, at least I think, that he sold the owners the boat.

I know they moved all the boats from the premises of my former dealer......does the ad say where they are storing it now? If you find out, I would be glad to go take a look for you initially if you like.

Exactly what we have with our current boat. Even the lowest sell price on the market for a 2000 268 is just about what we paid for our's 5 years ago. So we are in good shape in that regard.

The 100K is tough to stomach for us at this time, even though it would be an "investment"

Capn...after all our discussions over the Bombay...do not rush into anything. I know you really want the Formula 37PC. Yes, the price is nice on this one. But don't go after it just for that. Hold out until that Formula calls your name brutha.
