I have been looking for a source for 2 pin bulbs to replace the 12v halogen cabin bulbs in my Vista. I want to go LED to reduce the amount of power used for lighting. The bulb I have is the Osram 64415 Halogen Bipin. Any ideas on sources?

That is a 12V 10W halogen with a G4 base. Any bulb with a G4 base should work fine. Here is an example http://www.ledlight.com/g4-super-flux-4-led-light-12-volt-ac-dc.aspx. They sell it in a "warm" version. That is the biggest complaint I've heard about converting the cabin lights to LED. The LED light is "harsh" compared to the halogen.

I had to reply to your post. Last year I installed (plates of 10 leds) in to each dome light. The results; It is way to dark. But it uses no electricity at all

Has anyone looked into changing the cockpit lighting on the arch? The 2009's FW's have gone to a multi colored light which I have seen in a lot of larger yachts and really add's a nice look at night. I have found the white light harsh and would like to have both a blue to match the LED's and also red for light while under way. My guess is that it would most likely require additional wires for the muli-color.

These are the ones I used in the cabin and cockpit areas. They are available with the pins on the side or back (you'll need some of each).

They are blueish white, almost too bright and power consumption is next to zero.
