Hello, new member here.
After looking at a lot of alternatives, I decided it was time to upgrade in size and age so...Call me crazy but I am moving from my 1995 Sea Ray 220 Signature Select (22') to the Four Winns 260 Horizon. It's a 2007 with 13 hours but never licensed thus is considered a new boat. Should take delivery of FW in mid-February...

Another fellow Seattle-ite!!!

Congrats on the 260 -- was this a boat show decision?

Is it the white 260 with copper stripe/stainless arch? If it is - then I'm not sure if you know this or not - but it's the original photo boat in the 2007 catalog!

And I presume you purchased with the new Sport Boat Northwest crew????

Fill us in!

I know Lake Chelan very well (practically grew up that way!). I'm down in Maple Valley and make the daily commute to our favorite evil empire out of Redmond!

Great choice on the Four Winns! You won't regret it!

YES, it is the brochure boat. I had been seriously looking at Crownlines with Sportboat NW but the boss pointed out to me that there were no sunpads or loungers on the Crownline. So the move to the 260 Horizon. I have been dealing with them on the 260 Horizon for about 4 weeks now (before the boat show) and they have been very good to work with. Surprisingly they listen very well and consider my wife's opinion equally as well as mine. Not pushy but certainly on the "ball". I don't know if you know this but Chris and John from Olympic in Everett are there now. They picked up Anthony (form Cope & McPheters) for the boat show and if they sell enough boats and can afford to keep him he'll stay. BTW, they never badmouthed any other make of boat and were truthful about facts even acknowledging if they didn't know them. And the deal is very "right". BTW, Four Winns is really helping them out with the inventory that C&McP left in storage in Kent.

I live in Sammamish, work in Bellevue and have a second home in Chelan. Maybe one day we catch up? BTW, my company does some business with the gang in Redmond...

Optimus --

Nice work on the 260. 4 weeks of dealing for that boat? Wow. As I recall, that boat was pretty well loaded and even has the Clarion stereo (which I think is better than the Sony). It's a very classy boat.

When I last noticed it with Cope (last summer or so) - they wanted 56-57k for it. It's a super nice boat and had some great options! My wife and I actually looked at it back in July 2007 and almost went that way, but decided it was too big. At that point, I think they wanted high 60s for it!

I hope that Sport Boat gives as great of service as you say. The conversations I have had with them have been very positive and pleasant. I met the service manager who came from Olympic. Our 318 is moored up just across Lake Union from them - so they will see me periodically.

I did not have the best experience with Cope (which is why I purchased across the country) - but that's a story to share over beers someday. However, I have since gained a great respect for their previous GM of the stores - Jeff. He is very much a stand up fellow and is now with the Regal dealer (Sunchaser Yachts).

Where is your place on Chelan? My days were spent in 3 different areas on the lake... One, on the row of houses between Wapato point and Mill Bay. One just uplake from the old "Pat & Mikes" when you drop down to the lake from that highway off the Columbia. And then another house just off the city park before you get into town.

My family is from the Wenatchee Valley/Chelan area and thus I have had tons of family with houses on Chelan for years.

I haven't been out that way for a while... and definitely not anytime soon with our new 318. But, I sure do love the area!

Keep us posted and welcome! Throw up some pics when you take delivery and keep us posted on any projects!

Not sure about the immediacy of boating as it is currently 20F and snowing. And even colder and more snow in Chelan (where I do most of my boating. But, pics will be supplied as soona s I get them. Certinaly have to take the first cruise soon just to get it out of the way... 8)

Congratulations on the upgrade from Sea Ray. The Four Winns lay out and functionality is what sold me also. Welcome to the site and enjoy the boat.
