Well, I'm willing to do some measuring if you are. Looks to me as though these doors mount right at the bottom edge of the walk through windshield. So measure the width between the helm and port consoles, right at the bottom of the windshield, and then again at deck level, and height from deck to the bottom of the windshield -I'll measure the doors- and we can compare.

Cool Thank You. I will do that and post up.

Chris from Winnisquam just placed my door order as the factory is back up and running again. Now I need some install help. Any tips on how to install these things would be appreciated. Any pics of installed doors on similar models would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I have 'em on my 210 and couldn't be without 'em. Give me an hour and I'll head up to the garage and see if I can get some pics, measurements and see if there is anything backing the hinges.

I have thought about adding these to the boat...not sure yet, but I have a question.

For those of you that have them, do they rattle at all when they are open or closed?

Dallas - Rattle? Not when closed for sure. When they are clipped open I think they may have swung free once or twice when the boat was jarred hard enough. I don't recall for sure but I seem to remember clipping them back once or twice. Its just a little stainless ball & tongue clip on the side of the footboards that clip them open. They don't really rattle at all or at least not enough to notice.
Man what a difference after dark or in the morning though. Kills just about all the wind in the front seats at least. The rear bench - well I don't sit there so . . 8)

As for the install, I included the pics which are of crappy quality but should do.

Image

OK. So with respect to installation nothing really complicated here. The hinges are simply screwed to the hull liner so the doors fit into the recess moulded into the 210 liner in the walk through area. There is a wooden backer embedded in the hull liner. You can see the backer if you pull back the carpet glued to the opposite side (inside the bowriding seatback cubby - under the windscreen if that makes any sense)

Door folded back into the recess in the walk-through:

Image

Hard to see but the backer for the hinges is under the carpet blended into the 'glass and you can just barely see the tip of one of the screws poking through half way up the carpet where it is folded back:

Image

Now for measurements, Uhh these are difficult from all the rounded surfaces but - From the floor up . . . and on an H210 . . .
**Please use caution in reading measurements from the images - they can be deceiving due to the angle from which the picture was taken** I included the tape in the pics to help describe what I am trying to write, but sometimes have difficulty explaining it correctly.

There is a 1" gap from the bare floor (no carpet) to the bottom of the mounted door. You will need this much space to clear the carpet and snaps as they open and you may not be able to go much more than this without interfering with the windshield - remember that you need space between the door tops and the windshield bottom for canvas with snaps to slip between so 1" from the floor seems just right. I remember fishing the bow canvas through the gap on a couple of instances though I can't recall why I wanted the doors closed with the canvas on. Still it may be nice to be able to do for things such such as stashing your goodies if you're beaching or something.

As for where the pre-drills were made for my hinge screws . . . they appear to be 7/8" apart per hinge -

The first hole from the floor up should be at 6".
The next hole should be at 6 7/8" (from the floor)
The next hole should be at 26 5/8" (from the floor)
The last hole should be at 27 1/2" (from the floor)
Note that these measurements are as installed on my boat and may not be the same if for some reason your hinges are mounted on a different spot on your doors than they are mine (doubt it but we can check when you get them).

Bottom hinge measurments were made like this and note there is a spacer behind the bottom hinge:

Image

Here is the continuation for the top holes tape still on the floor and note there is no spacer on the top hinge:

Image

When the door is folded open there is very little gap as it fits into the recess. looks like it is only about 1/16". The holes appeared to be about 1/2" from the edge of the recess.

Image

And the last picture shows how the doors do not really sit flust at the top with the cowling(?) - they actually appear to sit a little low. This pic should actually measure fairly correctly if you wanted a distance from the top.

Image

Hope this helps out but I am sure you will see its not really too complicated when you get them in your hands. I always have my doubts too - when it comes to drilling into my baby. If there is anything else you'd like to know specifically like the actual size of the door pieces for example just ask.

Absolutley amazing and helpful post. Talk about going out of your way!!

Pass it forward right? I need to help about 30 old ladies across the street today!

Thanks VERY much. I now feel I can tackle this project on my own.

Great post of the pics....I appreciate it. Now I have to decide if I want to pony up the chips to put them in. For me, it seems like one of those things that would be really nice to have, but get used very little.

I am having the same struggle with bow filler cushions.

Had a 98 Mastercraft that came with the canvas option to close off the bow area. Simple push stud to clip it into place and it worked like a charm

Bet its pretty cheap to have one made too. Doors do look better though.

Think I will try having one made and post some pictures

Cheers
Dave

Just say this post.. :)

Nice looking doors!

For anyone out there looking at other options, We had a local canvas guy make a walk-thru curtain with some sunbrella fabric to match the other covers on the boat. $75 CND. Did a fantastic job. Would post pics, but boat is covers and ther still is that white crap outside.. :?

I had the "canvas" made to use the snaps in place where a door would go -- and added a couple of snaps down lower -- I did not want doors flapping/making noise/taking up space when not in use.

I also had a "canvas" piece made for the aft end of the passageway that snaps down by the drivers feet and goes to the top of the windshield -- this creates a small private enclosure for those of use who might want to use the Pota-pottie but could never fit in that comparment -- (read a normal 6ft 1inch guy)

A custom canvas shop made them of quality vinyl material --- there are tons of them in Florida where I boat, so no issue there. I roll up the two pieces, wrap a small bungie around them, and hang them on a pot hook in the toilet area -- that way they are not lost on the floor with the other "stuff" usually in the pottie area. I removed the pottie from it's pumpout connection and just bring it out if an adult needs it ---- (we never need to use a pumpout anyway since we trailer)

just my solution

Took a look at the install earlier today. No mounting screws are included with the doors. Also the spacer Blessed mentioned for the lower hinges was not included with the door assemblies (gonna have to call FW customer service on that one). The dimensions are also slightly different for my H200, than those for Blessed's H210. Took me a bit, but I discovered that the hinge mounts on the door panels are adjustable - which is good, because a dry fit proved mine were too wide for the opening at the top. Had me worried there for a bit.

Got mine mounted (finally).

Funny thing is now that I've got them in, it's been too hot to use 'em.
