So you use the powerball to apply the wax right? So what do you use to buff it off? I have come close to buying one but dont have a lot of confidence with waxing my car or boat. Thanks.
Yes I apply with the powerball. I remove the first layer with a clean dry towel and then go over the whole boat again with a microfiber towel to get the wax dust and other small particles. Then I bring up the shine by buffing with the wool bonet on my power sander/polisher. Nothing against anyone else's methods, but the dry wax removal step just doesn't work well for me using any type of power tool. I found that with the powerball I don't have any of the wax slinging all over everything problems. I also feel that it works especially well with the cleaner type waxes, since the spinning along with the back and forth motion works the wet wax deep into the surface, yet I get a nice thin coat of dry wax that is easy to remove with a dry towel. I hope this makes sense.
