So far so good! I brought my wife home this morning and baby is still in the NICU at St. Marys. We have the ability to go to DeVoss if necessary, but so far we are fine at St. Marys. We really like the small hospital feel of it and the neonatal team has been incredible.

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. The little guy is still doing very well!

Wow - congrats. Thank God for modern medicine is all I can say.

About 10 years ago I was inside an NICU in Palm Springs Ca. They had pictures on the wall of many of the babies that have come through the department. They actually had a baby that was the length of a bic pen as shown in the photo. Absolutely amazing. I am very happy to hear that your doc was on top of his game and made some good decisions.

If you need anything, your online family is here to listen.

St. Mary's is where we had our son and where we will have the twins. I agree...the small town feel of the hospital is amazing. We were treated so well there by all their staff and the doctors are top notch. Glad the little guy is doing so well. Have they said how long it might be before you bring him home?

Congratulations on your little miracle. As a veteran of the NICU myself (my daughter was born at 29 weeks), your thread brings back memories. You definitely have a long and hard road ahead of you, but it will all be worth it in the end. We now have 4 children and our little 2lb 12oz preemie is about to turn 5 and although our daughter has cerebral palsy, she is healthy and we feel blessed everyday that we have her. We will keep your son in our prayers and God Bless.

We are shooting for the original due date of May 30th to bring him home. Sooner if possible, but that's the goal. Glad to hear the good news about St. Marys. So far, we are very pleased. I need to find out what kind of boat the Dr. has. My guess is a FW...

4 Lbs!

We are still on the NICU journey with our son. So far so good. Just waiting on him to develop better lungs and to grow. I can't believe it's almost been two months. We are still shooting for our go home date of May 30th!
