I think ours is going to be called:

The Jen-erator
or
Jenerator

My wife's name is Jennifer, and it was her given nickname from her dad and softball in HS. Since shes the bread bringer currently she wins. Her and the dog are just as excited as me!

Floating off the dock last summer was very hard to do without having a boat!

anybody know of a good sign shop that is worth recommending?

A local sign shop here quoted me like 275 bucks for a boat name & hailing port that measured 11 inches tall X 33 inches wide. Seems kind of steep to me... Although - it's not possible for the normal BoatUS or Overtons route because of the lettering and graphic style.

I have used this guy 3 times. He has done reg. numbers for me on two different boats and also did the boat name for me. He is very reasonable...you just have to install yourself. What you saw above in my post cost me $20.00 and it was 3 inch by about 25 inch long. He does good work, cheap, and ships fast.

I checked with these guys and they wanted less than 100 bucks to do it. Downfall is, they weren't going to use the material I wanted and it was going to be a multiple layer application.

Any recommendations for a custom sign shop that can do a 1 peice layout for me (except the hailing port). It's pretty basic -- black and silver. Preferably metallic/reflective in nature.

Layout looks like

Hey cougarcruiser,

You could Mardyn Signs up here in the Vancouver area. I know he would ship it to you, or if he has other business in Seattle, may be able to come to you. Have a look at his website. He is always at the Vancouver Boat Show and does great work.

Hey Cap'n -- Prism is the shop I was thinking of using. They just want an arm and a leg out of me for it. I like the lifetime warranty, but I just want to see if there are other options out there.

Wouldn't be my first choice, but I wouldn't have a problem with it.

I'm comfortable with my masculinity.
