Has anyone talked to this dealer regarding bottom price. Somewhat interested in this 378. It would probably be our next boat once we are done enjoying our 328. Was thinking within the next 2 years, but if the price is right...?

I think the boat is still owned by Genmar. You can offer them whatever you want - but FW has to approve the sale.

It was a demo boat - never been owned.

As for comments about the boat being 3 years old. Yep - and the price shows it. It's a fricking 40 footer for goodness sakes.

It sold once at the Seattle boat show. Sale fell through apparently - I'm not sure if the pending tag is from that original sale or otherwise.

I saw the ad in Craigslist... Shows that they are apparently flexible on price a bit!

Now - can you get Genmar to ship the boat for free - that's the sticky.

I wish I had the extra dough... It's a very nice boat. Has some demo hours, but it's gorgeous.

But between those hours and the fact that it's a dealer boat, the punch list should be very short! Always a bonus on a new boat as nothing is ever perfect and you spend much of the first season on a vessel this size getting things right.

I have said it before - nothing beats a brand new boat delivery. But it's great getting that punch list behind you. If all is as it seems, this is a great deal.

Hey guys I have been in contact with Chris. He sent me about thirty pictures of the boat and I looks great. Trying to get over the kick in the pants on the value of a 6 month old 318. Also the other thing is the shipping cost, waiting on estimates from trucking companies. Looking at $7000.00 plus right now. Still working on it, Cougar like you said its a 40 ft boat.
