Man...talk about kicking a guy when he is down! Thats terrible! I hope you have a speedy recovery...to both ailments! At least you havent missed any lake time with the weather being either windy or wet, or both.

See ya soon!

As promised here's an xray of the damage. They had to put a metal plate with 12 screws in to fix the fracture in the ulna and put the head of the bone back in place. What you can't see in this picture is the damage to the head of the radius. It was to far gone and the doc had to replace the head of the radius with a metal (cobalt) head.

The good news is I've made a ton of progress and the weather still hasn't cooperated as far as getting the boat out, so up to this point I haven't missed out on any potential lake time. I've gained enough strength and mobility now that getting in and out of the boat won't be a problem. I hope we can get on the lake next weekend. This weekend will be a no go with 20 - 30 mph winds forcasted.

Hope to see you on the lake buddy. I am glad things are going the right direction. You certainly havent missed any boating. The lake has been too rough with the wind, or its been rainy.

Oh you'll see me out there. With the wife being a teacher and off for the summer we should be out there quite a bit.

That x-ray looks awful.

I hated to read this, too.

Mike that sort of puts things into perspective. I only had a broken elbow and it is healing with time. Just a little bit of physical pain. Not nearly the emotional pain that Brett is certianly dealing with. I wish him the best. I don't know his personal situation, but hopefully he has many loved ones around to help him cope.

Yeah, I certianly didn't half a$$ mess it up. I proved "the bigger they are, the harder they fall" theory as well, being 6'8", 270.
