Just got home after an extended public holiday weekend on the boat. The weather was OK on Saturday and we managed to get out into the bay for a few hours. But the weather changed on Sunday and it was too rough for small boats like mine, but it didn’t worry these intrepid boaters (or idiots whichever you prefer).
Just to let you know that these guys launched in our marina where there is a large coastguard notice giving the current sea conditions etc.
Before I started taking these photos this 16ft speedboat and gone into an area known as “THE TRAP” an area where boats don’t go, within seconds their boat had been swamped and their engine died.
A large boat had gone to offer help before the surf got them but they waived it away.
This is what followed.

The rescue lifeboat station is only metres away from this beach and they were there within 2 minutes.

Sorry about the small pics but thats the biggest I could upload, has a limit been applied recently?
