The 262 is one sweet ride...regardless of what those guys say in the chaparral forums. I managed to get almost 3 hours on the engine on delivery day with many more to come. Can't wait until the engine is broken in and I can see what the 425 ponies will do behind this boat. Hopefully memorial day weekend will be nice and I can get going in earnest with the "break in" period.
Thanks for asking.

I wonder who it could be. :D

Someone knows more about me than I do

I called Ryan to discuss my bbq situation while he was running around getting your boat all ready for your arrival. It sounds like the delivery went well!

Lets see pics!

I for one love the looks of the 262 in the water...although I might be biased.

Leftlane,
I don't know how many other SL series there are out there...or on this forum. Maybe we should take a roll call at some point. Enjoy the following blurbs from some chaparral owners by following this link:

http://forum.chaparralboats.com/index.p ... 7&hl=SL262

I don't know why people make comments about how a boat is going to ride or perform when they have never been in one. If they read the specs, they would see that the SL262 has the same deadrise of the H260...the SL262 is an optical illusion in that regard.

As an aside to my boat purchase, I wanted to give a thumbs up to Four Winns for the trailering cover option. Works great and I am going to use it mostly all the time even when the boat is in my driveway because it seals up the entire boat really well!

I just got my trailering cover too. I really like it's construction. I plan on using it while mine is parked in the driveway as well. I think it will keep things drier than the cockpit cover. I am afraid that it might also trap moisture inside though. We'll have to see throughout the season.

Mine has built in vents that let the cover breathe...so far I am very happy with it.

Mine does too. But I haven't had to cover it while it was wet or damp.
