I was able to get out for a little cruise on Friday night after work. Took a friend of mine for a ride around the lake and a couple of beverages. We stayed out till around 9:30-10:00, just relaxing.

I had to work on Saturday, so no chance of hitting the water then.

Then there is Sunday! I had plans to meet with 5-6 other boats in a quiet cove across the lake from Party Cove. Sunday was all about family. Everyone brought their kids, friends etc...for a good time. When we first put in, it was starting to rain. We all figured that we might as well put in because the storm looked like it wasnt going to last long. We were right...by the time we got into the cove, it was over. We started tying up one by one and got the day kicked off. My wife made about 175 Jello Shots.....those only lasted a few hours. As we were relaxing, I see a very familiar Four Winns SL262 enter the cove. We made eye contact and I waved him over....leftlane and his family tied up with us and joined the fun for a few hours. They also had another friend in tow that tied to them. This made a 7-8 boat line and everyone had a great time. It was nice to finally meet leftlane and enjoy some music and drinks together.

Here are some pics:

The rest are just some random pics of the fun

Great pics!

That little, killer whale looks to be getting roughed up pretty good.

Fun times - good to finally meet you, and thanks for letting us tie up to your conga line. Also, big thanks to Doctor Samantha, who came fully equipped for any on-the-water emergency that might require immediate Jell-o syringes!

We're heading back out today for another kid-filled day of fun. Weather looks perfect for a great time. Thanks to all our heroic and brave veterans who continue to preserve our freedoms and allow us the chance to enjoy this great land!

Had a great time Saturday.
Left the boat at home Sunday and took a few phone pics from the dock & paddleboat.

The view started out like this:

About 11:00 AM they started pouring in:

If you didn't have a Four Winns...

you could afford the bow eye off one of those :)

Where do you boat, Brent?

The guy in the Cig charges $150 for a joy ride!

Those are from Grand Lake (of the Cherokees). I'm either there or Skiatook (smaller, closer, & calmer).

That cove even has a marina with beer/ice delivery to the tie ups.

I've always wanted to get down to GL just to do it once.

We used to live in Tulsa but never made it to Grand Lake. I guess in my mind I pictured a nice, big, clean lake. No offense intended, but that water looks pretty nasty. It makes the lakes around here actually look somewhat clean. Whatever lake that is in your signature picture - that's what I want!

Whatever you do, don't come to Kansas. The lakes used to be pastures.

Great pics from you both. Now the seasons have been reversed, down in NZ we are in the grip of winter and my H190 is parked up (no winterising reqd here thank god) whilst our friends in the US are getting right into the summer swing! I'm always impressed by Brent's pics (talent galore) not to mention others, and the way boats raft up in the lakes of the States. In NZ we tend to just anchor in a bay and catch up on the beach. Roll on the upcoming (hopefully) shots of gorgeous women letting their hair down over a few beers!!! :P

Yours in anticipation....

We've had a LOT of rain. Grand was 6' above normal and dirtier than normal. The lake in my sig pic is currently 14' above normal with all ramps closed. It looks horrible right now!

I have some pics from this past weekend that my buddy took....but they are probably not suitable for this forum.
