She looks terrific! Those are the first "new owner" pics I've seen with the new Volvo drive. You're gonna love it!

I actually took it streight from the dealer to the water for about two hours then brought it home. it runs pretty good but i have a few questions. The engine sounds a bit noisy and it seems that there should be some kind of weather stripping around where the engine cover sits agains the back. I do not have the sunsport option. Makes the engine sound loud. also how does the trim work, seems like at 22-24 i need it all the way down but at about 30 if i trim in the middle i get more speed with less motor strain. is this about right?

another question is the idle is like at 1000rpm when warm and i know it says not to shift the drive if it is higher then 800rpm should i just turn the idle screw down?

Idle speed - 1K does sound a little high if it's warmed up. But especially being a brand-new boat I wouldn't make any adjustments myself, I'd have the dealer address any concerns you have.

As to trim, less is more here. Normally start out trimmed all the way down or very close to it. You normally would never trim it up very far; only in tiny increments, watching your tach, and when you achieve maximum RPM that's as high as you ever want to trim.

Must be nice being able to boat this time of year

Yeah the weather here in SC is pushing high 60s. Not warm enough to get into the water but still nice to cruise around the lake...that is if I had my boat!

Oh well one more month of waiting... 8)

Wow that looks nice. Oh yea and i talked to fourwinns and they said there is not supposed to be a weatherstripping to keep the sound from getting around the edge of the motorbox but they said to bring it back to the dealer and they will authorize weatherstripping to be put on. They are completely nice and really take care of there customers :) !!!!!!
