Ok, so mine is hanging on the wall... like a trophy.

I call her v1.0. We built v2.0, but it never gave you quite the experience that this little friend did.

Who's been there, done that, and still does it (even once in a while).

The admiral let's me dust it off a couple times a year - just to make sure I'm still at a high performance level. Can't wait for my kids to say "hey dad, what's that?"

I havent had one in years...but I will tell you....it was sweeeeeeeet!

Could hold 2+ beers, had some 1.5 inch tubing AND a ball valve to control it all. In my young (and stupid) days....I beer bonged 6 wine coolers in a row 2+2+2....I puked so soon after that, it was still cold coming out.

1.5 inch? OH hell no!!!! When shot gunning beers was the thing to do that was one thing but 1.5 house putting back 2+2+2 wine coolers??? I must be too old? Plus I don't think i have ever drank a wine cooler. :D

I can do 6 shots of tequilla and retain them but I cannot do 6 wine coolers and then barf them up. 8)

Hmm... in my less 'cognitive' days, we'd turn an unopened can over, poke a hole in the bottom, cover the hole, pop the top, swing the can up into position and uncover the hole. As I recall, there wasn't much swallowing - it involved something more more like an immediate 12oz transfer to the stomach.

Yup, the Shotgun vs. the Beer Bong....

Different means to reach the same conclusion.

But really....wine coolers?

It's funny Cougar brought this up. I am picking mine up from my parents house next week. Mine has been hanging in my parents garage since 91. Not sure what kind of shape it's in. I remember bringing it home from a party. I thought I hid it well in the garage, but the next morning it was hanging on the wall. My dad thought is was something for my car!!! My mom new exactly what it was, which was kind of funny. It has been hanging in there ever since as a running joke!! I think it is time to add it to my garage. If it is not in to bad of shape I might have to throw a few beers in there for old time sake.

There's just something about shot-gunning a beer or a beer bong...

I think it reaches the core of many of us.

Nice!

I was cleaning out the old picture folder and came across it... Couldn't help but toss that up there.

We had one that had a huge funnel and one main line connecting into 4 smaller tubes with on/off valves. You could pour a 12 pack into the funnel and have 4 people open the valves at the same time to down the whole thing in about 5 seconds. I've never seen people get sicker faster.

I have one of the most expensive ones made! It's made from 3 triangular pieces of Carbon Fiber formed into the funnel.
The reason it's so costly =

2 weeks of advanced composite at Flight Safety International West Palm Beech,Fl
Airfare round trip
2 weeks Hotel & meals
2 weeks rental car
2 weeks salary to party in WBP

That's the running joke amongst the people in the business
We own the worlds most $$$$$ Funnel!!

P.S. I was around during the "Shot Gun" era post HS & NO I could NOT do it  But my good buddy would do 2-3 16 oz

Cougar:

I have just the thing for it...my "Nut Brown" is done fermenting and ready to go. Or, if you wait a couple of weeks I'll have a Belgian Trippel to try.

Waste of perfectly good beer IMO. I like to taste my beer! I did do them back in High School though. In fact did one recently at a wedding because it was being passed around by the beer cart.

Man, it's been a long time since I have the sweet taste of clear plastic cross my lips!

A few years ago, I was in Cumberland and this group of guys introduced us to "dunkaroos". They had a marine cooler full of icey water and a beer bong. In order to properly perform a "dunkaroo", two guys picked you up, turned you upside down, dunked your head in the water for 20 or so seconds, then whipped you upright and jammed the beer bong in your mouth.....yeah....wow....that was a rough next morning....but one hell of a fun afternoon....at least the 14 or so minutes that I remember.
