Beer Prices Will Soon Go Up

The top U.S. beer brewers say they are raising prices this fall. Anheuser-Busch-maker of Bud Light and Budweiser, along with Miller Coors- maker of Blue Moon and Miller Light, are both upping prices. Neither brewer says how big the increase will be.

Sales of top brands Miller Light and Bud Light are suffering. However, overall sales of beer and hard liquor are considerably up this year.

Thanks for the heads-up. I think I've got some extra space in my storage unit...

It's funny if they raise prices, people are more likely to turn to the micro brews. I used to drink AB but since it was sold to a belgium company I like to spend my beer dollars on some hometown brew!

I agree but I 'm afraid that this may cross into the Microbrews as well.

People always seem to find money for their vices... A little increase won't mean much to the average consumer but in the big picture it can really help their profits!

Times of recession bring major increases in the sales of illegal drugs, prostitution, porn, liquor and tobacco products. Funny how people can't feed their kids or keep a roof over their heads but they always have smokes and beer !? i guess they are self medicating for depression?

Wish we had your prices up here. We're paying $21.95 CAD for a 12 pack.

As for the Canadian Beer, don't forget drinking a 12 pack of your beer is like 18 of ours. Try Great Lakes Beer from Cleveland. It is a small brewery that makes some fantastic beer that also is higher in alcohol content. Being full blooded Irish I feel that I am somewhat of an expert on the subject.
