I just PM'd you as I was going to try to get it done this weekend. I will mention the curve of the window as I am sure they are not used to doing it. I was thinking it makes the boat look more like the SS models which I like. Did he have to make any seams due to the curve?

Definitely more like SS. Have seen numerous other CA boater doing the same thing lately. DON'T let them put a seam in the window. Chances are it may take them a few tries to get it right. Talk to your tint guy about where the windows come to a sharp point on the port and starboard side. The guy I used said that tinting all the way to the point would cause the tint to peel (not enough surface area), so he cut it just about 1/4 inch short. Can't even notice. Also, they will likely have a hard time placing tint between behind the dash. Removing the dash cover my facilitate better access.....not sure.

Ouch!!! I've called 2 dealers to see what adding a Four Winns swim platform would run, only one has gotten back to me.

Parts $1397.95.
Labor (8 hours @ $95.00) $760.00
Total with tax, $2259.16.

I thought the platform was a bit high, but 8 hours to install one! Yikes.

Someone on the board posted the cost they found to be $1,000. I have to think it is something you could do yourself.

I saw this on a quick google search

Incase anyone wanted to see the tint job. Not the greatest job as I had to leave the guy to finish for football practice, but will suffice for now. Definitely makes it cooler with the bimini top up.

Well I'm in holding pattern for a bit now. As we were getting closer to our first boat went to the Credit Union to talk about rates and low and behold the same day we had a medical bill hit our report. Turns out the stupid hospital billed the wrong people for over a year and now they are coming after us. Of course that didn't help the old credit score and we're fighting with them to bill the right people. They have put it on hold after being yelled at, but need to clear it up first.

Well my wife and I went and looked at the boat, we're sold. Now just need to line up a couple issues on our end and arrange for a wet test and then talk to the servicing dealer.

Boat looks brand new, only 18 hours on the engine. Not a scratch on it that I could find. He hasn't had anyone else come and look at it, just a few emails.

Crossing my fingers that we can get things on our end taken care of before somebody else snaps it up.

If he's only had E-mails I wouldn't worry about it being snapped up! Hopefully you get your end straighten out & you'll be another "Happy FW Owner"!!!!

KSJ08, I'm hoping you are right. Spoke with a FW dealer that sold the boat to him, they had a new 09 in stock until this past weekend. Sales guy said it was a good price, so we're trying to move things along on our end as quick as we can. We just had an old medical bill from 2 years ago come back to haunt our credit report, the Hospital was billing the wrong entity and came after us. They are now billing the right entity and should correct our report shortly... I hope. Don't care to get hosed on what portion we'll be financing.

Sweet, one step closer. Spoke with a different bank, had us approved in about 3 hours. Not sure why the Credit Union was having issues.

Does the picture in your signature mean you bought it?

It does :) We pick it up this week. I'd made another thread after the sea trial, you can find it http://www.smwebhead.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=4546

Best of all the weather looks good for this weekend so hoping everything moves along as it should with the bank.

Yes, after a couple of weeks the stars are lining up and we're picking up the boat Friday afternoon! Going boating this weekend temps will be in the mid to upper 80s and its sunny.

Boat is sitting in MY driveway tonight, ready to head out Saturday for our first cruise and day of learning.

Swapped the SS prop for the aluminum one, anyone have a clue how tight it should be? I haven't made it through the owners manual completely yet.

Bimini top front poles have some side to side play. The finger tightening screw couldn't fully tighten as I think its touching the fiberglass, any reason not to ad a spacer so screw can tighten the pole down more?

Found the battery didn't have terminal covers, went and bought some will install in the morning.

Ready to roll... is it morning yet? :)
