Does anyone know the propper procedure for checking engine oil level in a 1999 fw 220h with 5.7 volvo penta engine, such as boat in water on trailer, hot, cold. Thanks.

Ideally the engine should be shut down for about 10 minutes and the boat is in the water.Thats the way I was told to do it but if anyone wants to chime in here please do
