i have been talking with a friend of mine who also has a boat and the two of us are thinking about going in on some wrap and doing a shrink wrap ourselves this year. has anyone performed this on there own and have any suggestions of what to do or not to do? or what to watch out for?
i will pull my tower to make it easier. i had it done a couple years ago and it was a little over 200 for a 19'. we can get 7m wrap for around 120 to do both boats. then we'd just need to get a gun. obviously we'd be purchasing a cheaper gun and not a 600+ one. would a heat gun from harbor freight work out? something like this (might just take longer???):

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/d ... mber=97114i've watched some videos and what not on wrapping and it doesn't look to be to difficult.
also going to winterize myself this year. makes me nervous but this is going to save me allot of money and i think it's time to learn. my buddy has been doing his for 15 years now so i feel confident in his style. i guess the basic is just put it on muffs and run the antifreeze in till you see it coming from the muffs then fog her out and add stable to the fuel?
really bummed that i'm having to start thinking about this already!!! where did the summer go.
oh i'm in denver colorado as well so there is snow load issues with the wrap. i figure a couple 2x4's for support and wrap away!
thanks for any and all advice!
