Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum and also the proud new owner of a 2005 FW268 Vista! My fiancee and I were looking at 258/268's last year but decided to wait till after our upcoming wedding in April to buy. Last week our local Four Winns dealer gave me a call to tell me he had just taken in the boat we've been looking for and was sending pictures. Well to make a long story short we decided to accelerate our plans and simply justify it as a "wedding gift" to ourselves!

We traded in our 2003 190 Horizon which was a excellent boat, but for the last 2 summers all our boating has been on Lake Michigan which has made that boat feel a bit small, and severly limited our use. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions about the boat, but I will also be in need of advice/recommendations for a 17 day cruise (honeymoon part B) along the Michigan shore we are planning for the end of summer! I'll try to post more pics as I transfer them. The depressing part is we have to wait 66 more days till we launch our sea pickle!!

Congats on both things! We too, have a 2005 268 and love the boat. We searched every manufacturer in this range and looked at at least 20 different boats before deciding it was FW Vista or nothing. Luckily for us in 2007 a local dealer (which subsequently went out of business :( ) had a 2 year leftover that we got one hell of a deal on.
Enjoy the honeymoon but be careful or you will end up like us, married with four kids!!!

Looks like all it needs is one of those little, Honda generators and you are fully equipped!

Sounds awesome!

I wish that I could have the 268 as my wedding gift, it only took me 16 years of marriage to
get the 248vista, and only after years of boat "upsizing".

Congrats on your wedding and your 2005 268

Welcome to the forum. If you make it out on the Illinois River, let me know. We are in the Starved Rock pool. I hope GSC treated you well.

All I got was a watch for my wedding gift, the 268 is a great boat.
