im looking into adding the captains gull exhaust to a 2005 230 horizon with 5.7 gi volvo. how much roughly does this kit cost and is it worth it? also looking for the factory cooler and to replace the compass because this one has a cracked lens. any idea where i could find this items? or a recommendation on another cooler that would fit good in the factory spot?

As far as the captains call... It can be added. Not sure I would do it if it were me I bet it would run around 2K to have it installed.

The cooler is just an Igloo marine cooler. They are pretty easy to find at retailers and on line. Off hand I can't remember the size, 36 quart I think. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I bet the compass is made by Ritchie it is in the newer Four Winns models any way. If you google that and igloo marine coolers you should be able to find them online.

You can look on http://www.fourwinns.com at the parts list for your model and year:

032-1501 COOLER, IGLOO 36 QT #6778

You can probably seach for your compass also.

Confirming that the compass is a Ritchie.

Captain's Call will run $2K and yield nothing in terms of performance. It's just sound (some would say noise).

2k is a bit pricey. I looked online for the compass but I didn't know the brand and I couldn't find it in the parts list. Thanks I will look again for those.

The part # of Compass from Four Winns is 065-1369.... It is a Ritche X-21BU
As far as Captains Call exhaust goes, I would suggest leaving it alone unless it came with the boat...
You would make more enemies than friends on water...

Adding Captian's Call may not be the most cost effective thing to do with your money, but neither is buying a boat. If it's something you want, go for it. As Mike mentioned the performance gains are probably slim to none, so do it cause you like the sound and looks of the stainless tips type of thing. Know this, your boat will never be as quiet when you want it to be (through hull exhaust closed, you still get some sound leakage) as it is now (without captian's call). That's never bothered me though, but something to consider.
