The build date for my 200 was 4/20. After reading this, I called to confirm that it was built. It was, and is today on a trailer with two other boats enroute to my Dealer. So, take heart - likely your build date won't get bumped again.

That's great news for you! 5 days to build and have on a trailer is incredible! Did you call FW directly or did you have the dealer get you that info? Just curious.

The Dealer gave me the info. I'm told they'll have the boat by this weekend, and I'll be boating next weekend. 8)

I was surprised to read you were told that the build takes 5 days. I believe that the hulls are molded in advance, and that the build (for a Horizon 200) can be done in a day. Anybody know for certain?

I got the 4-5 day build estimate from this site, not my dealer.

We ordered on 3/8. Delivery was 6/2.

Hulls aren't done in advance. Well, depending on anticipated demand your hull may have *just* been done, but it's not like they've got a rack of them sitting around. Our build time was either 4 or 5 days, I don't remember for sure. The first major entry on the build sheet was "hull layup."

Jim R, did you get your boat? If so, post us some pics.

I've finally gotten a firm date from my dealer, who advised that the boat had a scheduled ship date of May 7th. Between prep time and the installation of a PerfectPass system on it, I'm expecting to pick it up on the weekend of May 18th. Still holding out hope that he is overshooting for me, and that a miracle will allow me to pick it up the weekend of May 11th.

Nope, no boat yet. Was told that the boat was on the trailer, but the trucker wasn't available. :? Now I have an appointment at the Dealer this coming Wednesday, for the walk through and delivery. Crossing my fingers, as I already arranged to take the day off.

I'm not too depressed about the delay, as I'm really not ready yet. This weekend I have to add a few dock sections to get out deep enough for the new boat lift. Sight unseen, I've been advised by SWMBO that both old and new sections must have a fresh coat of paint applied. Probably wouldn't have had much time to play with the boat anyway.

On a positive note, SWMBO was kind enough to grant me leave on the day before Mother's Day to drag the boat up and drop it in the water.

Pet, yours will be the first FW I know of in this area with PerfectPass. I'd appreciate a report on how it works for you after you get some time on it.

Absolutely. I'm planning on doing a lot of wakeboarding behind it, so that was the thinking behind getting it. I've been told that the FW hull makes a great wake and that, between the B3 drive and PerfectPass, I should get nice performance at lower speeds to keep that wake consistent.

Plus, the wife is a lot more willing to pull me with PerfectPass. I thought I was going to have to lobby pretty hard for it, but once I explained what it was she said, "Oh, let's get that-you pull the boat all over the place back there and I hate having to drive with a hand on the throttle." WOO HOO! It really IS all about presentation, isn't it? :D

my dad and I just signed for a nearly new 2006 Horizon 220 with something like 35 hr on it. Were expecting to take delivery of it around mothers day.. . so about a week before you ;)

unfortunately ours doesn't have perfect pass nor the duo prop. . . but for a first boat should be plenty

Did you get the factory Four Winns wakeboard tower or their reverse "ski" arch? we're having trouble deciding if its worth the extra 4k. . . but it looks like it really belongs on the boat and its extremely sturdy.

anyone have any experience using the regular tower type compared to the reverse arch? it seems like the reverse arch pushes onto the top deck instead of trying to pull out.

We have the exact same boat...I bought my 06 220H brand new last summer and now have 40 hrs on it. Mine has the single stainless prop with the Volvo 5.7 liter engine. I thought about getting the wake tower, but decided to pass on it due to the 4K extra I'd have to pay for it.

You can see pic's of mine in this website's "photos" section under the "law950" user name. I see you are from Seattle....what part?? I'm from the Kent / Maple Valley area...

We got the reverse ski arch, but that was monstly for asthetic reasons. My wife hates wakeboard towers, and didn't want one on the boat. I couldn't live without one. So, I compromised and said "What about this ski arch?" She liked it a lot better, so that is that. Performancewise, there should be no difference. Personally, I like the look of the ski arch a lot more. The other upsides were that it was cheaer and it didn't require a custom bimini. The factor bimini fits right in and works with the arch.

law950,

were up in Edmonds/Mukilteo
but well probably use the boat mostly on Lake Sammamish and Banks Lake over in Eastern Washington.

we already have a sailboat and a Honda Aquatrax F12T jetski, thats what i learned to wakeboard behind but we decided to get the boat so we can actually "wake" board.

either way were going to get a wake tower but it all depends on the price/value. . . if i can get a samson tower for 2800 then with the 1200 i save i can get some nice speakers/racks/lights
it all depends how much money i can convince my dad into spending

More crying on my part. Sorry all, but I need to vent here. My salesman I've been working with has been playing "Catch Me If You Can" for a few weeks with me now. I finally got ahold of the Sales Manager last week. He returned my phone call on Monday to tell me that my 220H's production date was April 26th and that he had confirmed that the boat was shipped from Cadillac on May 7th (that day).

At that time, he expected the boat to arrive by Wednesday or early Thursday at the latest and also expected that he could have it prepped and tested in 48 hours to accomodate a weekend delivery. I called yesterday-Catch Me If You Can answers the phone and says he hasn't seen the boat yet, but would call me back and let me know if it came in. Called this afternoon-CMIYC says he still hasn't seen it, then proceeds to tell me that he had confirmed that the boat left the factory yesterday. Someone is lying to me.

Does anyone think I'm out of line for getting ticked off/suspecting that I'm being run around here? I'm trying my best to be patient, but the two things I hate are being lied to or being given no answer. Just be straight with me, even if the answer you have for me isn't the one I was hoping for. I guess what is really grating on me is that I was given the 3rd weekend in April as a delivery date, and now I'm beginning to fear that I won't even have it by Memorial Day Weekend.

OK, thanks for the shoulder everyone. It is tough watching all of you guys posting pics of your beautiful new boats and knowing that I should be joining you. I guess this gives me some extra time to charge up the digital camera. :(
