Hi, just wondering if there was anybody on the forum in Melbourne?

I've pretty much decided to buy a Four Winns H180LE after ruling out spending my money on a new car or a swimming pool. I chose the Four Winns over the Bayliner as the H180LE has a better chance of fitting in my garage!

I have not yet bought the boat, so if anyone has any suggestions or experience they wouldn't mind sharing I would be most grateful.

One question I did have, was should I wait for the Melbourne boat show in July? Are boats generally cheaper at boat shows?

Thanks

JB

Not sure what year you are looking at, but I have a 2001 H180LE with a 4.3L GL and Volvo SX drive. For an 18' boat, it has a lot of interior room. I previously had a 17' Sea Ray with a 3.0L and I will say that I am personally much happier with the 4.3L as we frequently have 5 or 6 people in the boat and do a lot of water sports. On mine, the integrated swim platform is very small, so I have finally decided to add a top mount extended platform from swimplatforms.com (they should be building it now). With a 2 year old, I'm sure I won't regret it.

He is about 732 kilometers or about a 9 hour drive on land away from 007.
It's about 11:30 P.M. in Adelaide where Ardy is, my guess is he is tossing back
a pint, or sleeping now.

Thanks, we're looking at a new one as second hand ones at least here in Australia seem to hold their value so well they are almost the same price as new ones! The dealers here all give 5 year warranties on everything, and the warranty is not transferable between owners so it seems crazy not to buy new.

We did look at the H180 (not LE) but with the extended swim platform it's too long for the garage.
