Ok, how about giving this for a hint.........

What is the overall length including swim platform and anchor pulpit?

If you do not get any winners include giving the beam width. :)

If that still does not provide the correct answer giving the boat make and model will. :)

Mike.

I was in the middle of guessing when you posted that - you're killing me. I'm going to have to stay brand loyal and go with a 285 Vista - I know they used to make that with a 10' beam and twins. I'm outta time so there you go.

Whatever it is, this has to be an exciting time - so congrats and fair seas to you Cap'n!

It's not a 298 Vista then. The beam on her is 10' 6" or is it?

Congratulations cap'n!

She sure looks like a beauty. The Monterey's are real nice boats. I almost bought a 2005 20 foot bowrider built by them when I was looking for my first boat. Very premium accessories and all the vinyl was supreme. I'm sure you've picked a nice one.

A few stats on our 282 :
LOA 30'10"
Beam 10'0"
19 degree deadrise
Dry Weight 10.000 lbs.
Fuel 142 gal.
Water 38 gal.
Before we purchased this boat , we had a complete structural, hull, mechanical and engine survey done. A few issues were found, and those had to be taken care of before we signed anything. That is what took so long. Also the trade in of our 268, which was buried in the storage rack until last week. The sea trial was great, it hit a speed of 42mph at 4500RPM on GPS and I still had throttle left. Plenty fast for an express cruiser. The 4.3L V6's with the BIII drives got her up on plane without tabs in short order. Cruise was 26 mph at 3,000 RPM, which is a touch better than our 268 Vista was. The ride was smooth, steering was responsive and turns were tight. This boat will be much better for boating on Lake Michigan, which is where we spend most of our time on the water.

We have some gel coat work being done this week, and we can hopefully take her home next weekend, weather permitting.
I won't bore you all with the reasons we went with this boat over some others on our short list. I'll just say that it was the right boat at the right price at the right time. So we made the move.
The cabin layout was just what we were looking for, and I appreciate the 6'5" headroom and the 10 foot beam. It makes it feel like a much bigger boat. Motorboating magazine called it "The Little Big Boat".

This is also the first boat for us with a name. We changed marina's after 6 years in the same one, and thought the name was appropriate.
Image

We spent a few days cleaning it up, and I sanded the entire bottom and applied two fresh coats of bottom paint. Still need to apply a coat of wax, but it looks pretty clean as it is now.
