Just took the old name off the boat, I hated it. I didn't go through the name change ceremony because I haven't named
it yet, probably wont. Should I be worried? From my understanding this ceremony is only if you "remame your boat".
I'm semi-supersticious but since I removed the name the trim gauge started working again, go figure!

Hmmm... maybe the previous owner didn't follow the protocol, so amends have begun to be made...

I've come to believe that a boat will feel better with the right name. Since we have renamed ours, our experiences onboard have only gotten better.

The Wife wants us to name our boat this year. The name she wishes to place on her is
Jail Break. I have been a cop for 30 years. I don't know what that will bring. I have fears of Rangers chasing me all over the lake. What do you guy's think?

I think they'll get a kick out of it.

I think it is cool, as we are officers as well. Our boat name is Whiskey Business and for a bit we complemplated changing it to Frisky Business. Just be prepared to explain what if it means. If that is ok with you, go for it!! We just played it more low key...we are in a risky business...but we love whiskey..so kind of like risky but with a lisp!! :D

Ok I'm curious and obviously new to boating by asking but is there a certain way to rename a boat? I just bought my first one in March and had to take the name off to put the registration stickers on for my state. Anyway I would like to rename it sometime. Is there a proper way to do it?
