It was hard to get any good photos once the sun went down. The boat was moving too much for the slow shutter speed I needed to use, but I got a couple of good ones.

By the time everyone arrived there were over 100 boats for the fireworks on Saturday night.

Starting to line up to the east:

More to the west:

Hope you all had a great 4th!!

The bimini is our favorite part of the boat and came as quite a nice surprise. Our test drive when we bought in November was quite short--so we never opened the bimini until the spring and we couldn't believe how big it was. Came in quite handy this week as it was a hot one! 8)

Behind another boater who decided to roll the dice with the local weather....we got 6 inches of rain the day we headed out for the lake (Friday) with 70 percent chance for Saturday and 50 Sunday.
Image

Lucked out and gamble worked - this is us outrunning one of the rains on the lake on Saturday...all was good.

Its a bummer backing up to go home!

TX, tried the same thing Sat. After a few miles of hydroplaning, turned around and went back home. Sunday was decent though.

I did ahve a plan B though...we hauled the fishing boat to the lake also...as long as no lightening we were going to fish if the rain set in....as it turned out we fished 3 to 4 hours in the morn - then hopped in the FW for some more lake fun.

Wound up with around 30 White Bass for our fish fry at the lake....with all the rain the fishing was slow but steady

I like that you have a "fishing" boat & don't use the FourWinns!
