Just curious if anyone has GPS's the top speed of their 210 or 210SS and what the speeds are you're showing. It'll be a couple weeks before I can get out but I'll report back when I do!

I hit 59 mph on my H220 a couple weeks ago. I was the only person on board with a slight tail wind on calm waters though. Fully loaded in normal chop, top speed is around 54 mph.

50-52 by GPS, but that's with the Hi-Five 21P prop.

My 07 200SS hit 53 GPS empty and about 49 loaded if I remember correct.

Wow, so a pretty big spread of true GPS top speeds.

I wonder if we can differentiate between motors and sizes:

59mph: 22' with the 5.7 (is that 300hp?)
50-52mph: 21' 6.2 (320hp?)
59mph: 21' 6.2 (320hp?)
53mph: 20' 5.0 (270hp?)

FYI I have the 1.5:1 gear ratio and yes, 320 HP on the Merc 6.2L ... if that helps.

I've hit 49-50 even fully loaded; I'm at the Max WOT RPM. With only Me, the GF and half gas, I once hit the rev limit (5500-5600 RPM???) at about 53 MPH.

I wonder if your torquey motor should go up a size in prop to put the rpms down and potentially put the mph up higher, or at least the same at a lower rpm?

50 MPH on top is plenty for me... I'm not after MPH, but hole shot hence the 5 blade low pitch prop; I like the ability to pull 2 skiers/tubes and still have 7 peeps in the boat with 2 coolers and a full tank of gas! 8)

Besides, the lake I frequent is only about 3 miles from one end to the other..... doesn't take much longer at 48 than at 59 to get from launch to lunch.

Makes sense. I was more worried about over revving the motor than the actual speed. Sounds like you have it under control though!

We may get the boat out this week; if so, I'll post my top speed, GPS of course.
