Hello Caps.
Need some info here. I just purchased a 2002 horizon 240. Love the boat ! Does all the water that drain in the rear of the boat drain out the rear scuppers ? The water that goes into the ski locker goes into bilge and I'm trying to figure out a way to keep my bilge dry.
Thanks in advance
Steve

Kind of depends on the specific boats. Many of them tend to have pockets that hold small amounts of water, but some seem to stay dry.

Is it sitting in driveway? Get it on a incline and pour some water in the ski locker. See if it shows up in bilge or just comes out plug hole.

No not in the driveway. It is in a slip at marina. All the water seems to gather under the fuel tank and when you move the boat foward all the water goes back towards the engine. Its no big deal just trying to keep the water from hitting the engine while going up on plane.

My bet is that water in the ski locker will make it's way back to the bilge....

...be happy it drains at all.... ours stopped draining entirely a few years ago and we gave up looking for solutions. Either it clogged or got pinched by the gas tank...not sure......I suspect it drains into the bilge when working, as do other areas, such as under the sink.

The water in the ski locker on my 240 stopped draining into the bilge and I thought the gas tank had slipped forward and blocked it. Buy no, one of the plastic caps on the canvas poles had come off, floated into the drain hole at the back of the ski locker and had stopped it up.

There must be a leak in the locker of the ski. You need to find out where the leak is coming from. If there is a hole just cover it with an epoxy. If it is coming from the caps then you should buy a replacement cap to remedy the leak.
