and upgrade to boot.

$119,000 for an '08 338. WoW. If only I could pull the trigger now...

Looks clean from the pics, although from the USCG info looks like a salty boat.

Just do it. You are still very young, lots of time ahead of you to pay for it and enjoy it.
You only go around once in life, enjoy it to the fullest. After all, it's only money, and you can't
take that with you.....

That is probably what the poor bastard who previously owned it (and eventually let it go back to the bank) was thinking.

Very true. Operating that vs my 268 would be about triple I'm sure.

Tough crowd here..........

Could possibly be a case of bad things happening to good people. That is how you find
a deal sometimes.

I figured you would like my reply. It is a deal but now that I have 4 kids (and their expense), I sometimes wish I had never gotten into boating. Then again, boating is everything to our family because we spend so much time up at the lake together. Good thing I only have 5 years left on the Note as our oldest will be 16 then. Just in time to start saving for college. I could not imagine having to pay boating expense and college expense at the same time.

Your reply was fine. The difference is, that poor sap may not have the clue that you do as
far as planning ahead. Some people have more money than brains, and unfortunately for them,
it can sometimes lead to a bad situation. Thus resulting in a deal for someone with both brains, and
deep pockets.

Hey, looks great to me. I'm sure it would resolve the AC as well.

See if they will do an even swap! Throw in your trailer.

I'd be lying if I didn't say that this boat is very tempting. That is my next boat ... just not the right time. My 248 will be paid off in 3 months.

I'll keep having fun on it until the house is paid for ... then ... I get the bigger boat. :-)

I feel very comfortable at the helm, the admiral likes the interior.....now if only I had 100k lying around.

A 318 is our dream boat...but a 338 for that price wow. Be nice if I could swing it now!

Umm... wow.. I know the owner, and know the boat even better. It was kept in the slip directly across from me where I stayed in VA last summer. I made an offer on this boat last spring directly as he was selling it through the dealer. I know he gave right around 200 for it. He about fell out when I told him what I had the dealer to in Florida. FWI he was in senior mgmt. for Ford, and a nice guy. He was worried last summer.. He must have lost his job....... :(

NOT a salty boat. Very slightly brackish with some salt trips under its belt. I can assure you it's mint, you won't get a better deal unless there was a major incident this season. I haven't seen it since last fall.

Sadly, living within our means is a lesson that many Americans are just now learning.

Well I'd love to see a forum member have it too! We need more 338 owners! I tried to get the previous owner on here but he never bothered. This is going to go fast, even if my bud doesn't jump on it. You could even flip this boat for a few bucks at this price, given there's still half a season left. It also has central vac. I sure do love my flexiteak and swimrail sys. when looking at the transom again. I have several personal pics of this boat if you or anybody else is interested.. I will make one call tomorrow to the person who will know if there was any issues since I left the marina last year.

I believe he was well within his means while he was employed, unfortunately his employment was the auto industry... The man was about twice my age! I know for a fact he put quite a bit down on this boat. Who knows.. he may have had an injury or worse, however I'm guessing he lost his job.
