Went to pull my h230 out yesterday and as I canker the boat up unto the trailer with the new strap I replaced, the trailer snapped. It snapped in half right behind the cross member for the winch. Anyone Recommend a trailer for me. It was a four winns bunk tandem axle trailer with brakes and swing away.

Depends on your location if you want a trailer recomendation. Hardly makes sense to recommend a manufacturer in Minnesota if you live in Saudi Arabia.

Try a google search in your area, should be easy to find.

I'd like to see pictures of the broken trailer. I'm curious to know what caused it to break. Did corrosion weaken it?

I didn't snap the trailer but I did lose a leaf spring causing the boat and fender to fall down onto the axle.

I took mine to a local trailer guy who is replacing all 4 leaf springs (upgraded to 2300lbs each), removing the bunk swivels and welding the cross members directly onto the frame with a 3" rise to keep the boat up higher off the fenders, replacing all 4 bearings, brake fluid lines and reinforcing all welds throughout.... total cost for refurbish will be about $1000 CAD..... new trailer would run me 7-10K CAD.

It snapped at the cross member right below the winch. It's a 2005. It's rotted pretty good. As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will put one up.

Are you on the coast in salt water? If so a galvanized trailer is the only way to go...here on Long Island I see a lot of Load Rites, Ventures, and EZLoaders...
And if you are on the coast...get a roller trailer...bunks are a pain if you have tides where you live...
If the trailer has leaf springs...smear wheel bearing grease on the springs and spray all the u-bolts with Corrosion X or Boeshield...
Brakes...Kodiak discs are the way to go for salt water use...
Honestly I could never see the point of a painted boat trailer...even in fresh water...boats are enough maintenance all by themselves...a galvanized trailer can last 20 years or more even in salt if you flush it out and spray Corrosion X on all the fittings....

I found a trailer for 1200. Just need to check the load ratings. If some one could tell me how to post pics from an iPhone I would post some. It has seen salt. I keep the boat slipped so it isn't used often. I do not know the history before I bought it but I was told it was used in the fresh part of the Connecticut River.

Holy Crap!

That trailer had to have some major water sitting inside the tube for that type of damage to happen. Obviously there was evidence of corrosion where the bubbles of rust were. My trailer is ten years old and has no evidence of flaky rust such as you show. these trailers aren't half bad, i just think you got a bum one... Can you not have this section cut out and rebuilt with fresh steel?
